Agree. Since your full blood count is normal, should repeat the full blood count and liver function test after say 1 month.

Have you found out the cause?

How do you know it's healthy? Did do you a liver function test, direct, indirect bilirubin test?

Legalon is basically just milk thistle exact. There are cheaper stuff with the same efficacy.

Guys, and update.

Just check my blood , my total bilirubin was 50 (the average was <17)

So i went for a doctor consultation , and i did a ultrasound to see there is any blockage in my gallbladder or liver.

But everything is healthy, no blockage or whatsoever

The doctor said my red blood is breaking too fast, indirectly high metabolism rate.
and the doctor prescribe it as "hemolysis"
There is no cure. Just live a healthy life style.
*
There is no point of telling us just the total bilirubin and not telling the direct and indirect bilirubin.

Anyway, if it is real hemolysis, the urine should be dark color and I would expect the indirect bilirubin to be much higher. Also would need to send peripheral blood film to confirm hemolysis

Do you have any jaundice (yellow skin/your white of the eye is yellow)?
Any other sign or pain? Did you do liver function test?

Yup, all the while (not sure since when) my eye white is yellowish.

I do this blood test was due to my fingers kind of numbness and tingling. Is only on my right hand, and is when I have certain way or position can feel it pull, then numb. The feeling is like when we in aircon room too cold, it used to happen when I stay late in office, but normally when I drive out, within few minutes, this sensation will gone. But now... it like staying... sad.gif

GP referral me to Orthopaedic for an Cervical X-ray. When I was there, the Dr just prescribe me Arcoxia 120mg, and advice me go for MRI if the symptom remain the same. After 2 days of Arcoxia, I didn't feel good on it, even heartbeat like abnormal. Call back the specialist clinic, the nurse there advice to stop on it, and try Neorobion.

Do you type/use the conputer alot?
High bilirubin does not have any connection to your fingers btw.
Go get yourself liver function test. Do you drink alcohol?

High bilirubin is not normal. Whoever tell you that is an idiot. Ordinary people don't get high bilirubin. slimey any ideas? DO do a liver function blood test and we will know.

This week seems got improvement. Just the sensation still there, like after slap people the hand feel.

No pain for above step. If last week some step will make the numb worse. Just no pain point found.

Means need another blood test for liver? How much will it cost?

What could be the problem you suspect?

That is just painkiller to relive the pain. I suspect you have early sign of carpal tunnel syndrome. Better go check.
For high bilirubin, lots of cause. Can be bile duct block, can be something wrong with the liver. Do you have any pain on the right side of your stomach area which come and go? Klinik kesihatan should be able to check. No need private. Save money.

bilirubin slightly raised..........
both direct and indirect slightly raised. pointing towards hepatocellular causes

it would be helpful if you have the AST and ALT result.........
perhaps there's a need to check for biohazards like hepatitis b and c

if AST and ALT deranged while biohazards result negative.......just need to figure out other cause like drug or alcohol related.......and repeat another liver function test few months later.......

if biohazards positive.......need to be on medical followup..........may require treatment and yearly liver ultrasound

Why take liver supplements when you don't know if it's your liver? Like I said do a liver test to know if it's really your liver. Also carpal tunnel syndrome cannot be cure with vitamins alone. It needs physiotherapy + splint + ergonomic mouse and keyboard. Again like I said is suspect only. If really carpal tunnel syndrome, it's still in the early stage where it is still reversible.
Best go klinik kesihatan, get referral ltter to neurologist + get your liver function test done.
