wanna ask...driver for 3164 and 3010 same or not???

THe hardware look same among this lappy but i am not sure about the driver. Better use the own driver. I just worry some chipset was different inside mainboard. The driver for processor, nvidia is same..

not that it matters much... hmm.gif
*
1.5Gb cant run dual channel. must be (2 x 512MB 667mhz) or (2 x 1Gb 667mhz) just can run dual. correct me if i am wrong. smile.gif

but i asked the technician online.. they told me that i can add another 1GB in another slot and it would be effective as well...
*
It can working fine just without dual channel. Ur 2nd slot ram ll act like temporary worker lo. For example: when 1st worker work till can't tahan liao just continue by 2nd worker nor 2 workers work together like dual channel. Am I right? correct me if providing something wrong. tongue.gif

i also dont know ler.. so how now?? you think by adding another 512 is good enough for me?? i'm using vista btw...
*
Er..So me in ur situation. I would like to buy a 1Gb RAM 1st. Then may be future can buy another 1Gb RAM to replace the 512MB RAM when I feel 1.5Gb still not enough for me. This solution is better than u buy another 512MB RAM cos cant upgrade again in future besides u change to 2 x 1Gb RAM lo(rich guy just can do it).

ahoy there.... anyone can post their vista score for v3000 series..... mine using xp pro..

office just gave me DV6205 vista premium and loading time damn slow compared to my XP pro machine....... not impressed
*
dv6205 still running sloe? imposibble la cos the spec is pretty good enough to run vista. U opened all special effect for ur vista? May be 1 GB RAM still not enough for home premium version.

* DV6205tx preloaded many trial version program thats y ll make ur system load slower. so please uninstall the useless 1 or try to disable from startup program.

Umm,,, what i mean is vista have slower startup and shut down compared to XP pro..... haven't got around to use the lappie enough to judge the operating performance. This is also evident if i turn off all the special effiecy and use just classic theme

blush.gif
*
Hmm..dunno is Core Duo problem or RAM problem. May be 32bit processor not suitable for vista cos i heard some v3222 (Turion 64 x2)users can running smooth in vista environment wo. sad.gif

Now i still confusing to choose between Dv6205tx and V3204 model. Hm..

I think HP is slowly putting core duo out of the market then promote more on core 2 duo..
*
They wont la. The reason they manufacture intel core duo is bcos want to challege the low budget market ma. Normally each manufacturer also will produce low, medium and high budget product to be strong in market ma.

This is the act speed(mean max speed). If u take out the adapter and normal use on it, sure ll cut down the core speed to half which is normal too.
