yes you can
it is as easy as snapping your finger tongue.gif
just open up the bay under your laptop
the position is already there
they made it easy for you to change it
same for HDD

then set which value to 0??
by the way, this sounds kinda technical....and bad effect doing this setting??

just tick the "no page file"
no bad effect, but if you got low physical ram
you might see the insufficient memory anytime tongue.gif

it will be faster
and yes you will see those application with more memory usage
cos all on physical memory
when it is in pagefile, you wont see it
and 1 more thing, if you set pagefile
even you din need the pagefile, OS will force all the programs to use the pagefile

Added on November 25, 2007, 10:34 pmimagine again tongue.gif
example firefox need 200k memory
with pagefile, lets say 50k will be pushed to pagefile
so you only see 150k memory usage
if you off the pagefile,
full 200k will be shown on the memory usage

ok..thanks...waa..got one pro from IT field here to teach a nooby also from IT field one..hahaha..thanks anyway... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

but seriosly, i can see the performance faster...just eat more ram...

the Confucius teaching..LOL...you win something..you lose somthing..LOL

so, what abt the OS forcing the program to the page file??

means if the program is inactive, it will locate the program into the page file memory? which is on the HDD??

Added on November 25, 2007, 10:42 pmok..did some research and observation....this one really not recommend for those with less RAM...this is for those who got extra nothing to do RAM memory to do this setting...

as long programs are executed
inactive or active also the memory will be splited into pagefile
so basically if pagefile is ON, you will hardly see insufficient memory error msg tongue.gif
in the other way, this MIGHT relax your hdd more
since no more swapping
this 1 just my assumption, din go really research yet tongue.gif
but theorically and logically, hdd will relax more
and stress more on ram
