Overseas card = online transaction and/or overseas transaction.

Hmmm...maybe that's why my online overseas purchase failed. I know my transaction limit is ok, but need to check for overseas enabled. Thanks for info

And certainly they break their own rules and cheat us!

Only 97.67 bonus interest instead of 110.41!

Let's all throw or interest together, hire a lawyer and sue OCBC biggrin.gif

Mine also $90+ (can't remember exact figures) instead of the usual $110+

OCBC CHEAT MONEY

Imagine if we all use the same template, then OCBC will realize that they cannot anyhow cheat people as we can come and fight together. (assuming that we also cc OCBC a copy of the mail send to BNM)

I received a call from OCBC after emailing to the original email i mentioned, she told me that my interest is calculated based on 4.1% before 29th and 3.6% on 29th onwards. I hence told her that alot of ppl are getting way much lesser, and she has requested 2-3 business days to get the calculation from another team and will call me back.
*
Keep us updated. I haven't written yet but if feedback from OCBC is still bad, I will write also to add to the voices

QUOTE(zenquix @ Feb 5 2020, 08:55 AM)
i got my exact bonus interest using the earlier table I shared and 1.15%. So the claim in the email is wrong.

OCBC Malaysia likes to take advantage of us public. Its good that we came together for this.

Receive call from OCBC this morning. Lodge complaint on 3/2 about the interest rate. They say they are aware of the issue. They waiting for reply from the ‘Product Team’ on their decision on this. They will come out with a decision LATEST by end of this week. Customer do not need to calculate the interest themselves as our system has come out with the amount of how much additional interest should be credited in customer’s account once we have the decision from the ‘Product Team’.

Bonus of 1.30% each category and 0.20% base interest shall be calculated 1 Jan - 28 Jan and 1.15% each category and 0.15% base interest between 29 Jan till 31 Jan.

‘Please be reminded that 2020 has 366 days instead of 365 days so please factor that in the calculation’ - LoL someone must have complaint to them maybe based on 365 days calculation instead of 366 days. My complaint did not address this issue. They might remind everyone about 366 days so people dont complaint why receive less.

Thanks.

I haven't written letter to OCBC with regards to me getting $90+ instead of $110+. Will OCBC automatically adjust for all its customers or just the customers that write in?

1. write email, follow the group.

2. wait for update and see what's the result.

Thanks. I will see whether I can write next week. Recently have been so tired and was trying to do stuff but got into bigger mess instead. So am reluctant to write something official in case get into some mess. Writing in lowyat is ok as can't really get into any big mess even when tired

Just for called from OCBC. Final decision from product team: no revision to 4.10% from the for the first 28 days.

I ask them to reply me in writing.
*
This is terrible. That means OCBC is just giving 3.6% for the whole of January. At the least, OCBC should have given 4.1% for the first 28 days.

Now, not only should we argue that we should get 4.1% for the 28 days (OCBC cannot just backdate reducing the interest to their advantage) but also for the remaining 3 days (for the 3 days, we need to incorporate mamamia's post #2094 dd 8/2, 2.33pm

"With ur sharing on May 2019 changes during the OPR cut, I’ve an idea to counter them.. they said their rate reduce due to OPR cut, 21 days notice is given if it is product feature change.. but, only base rate is suppose to follow OPR, Bonus interest is product feature which is offered by OCBC which I need to fulfilled the 3 conditions only can get, so, they can don’t give 21 days for base rate is acceptable, but, they MUST give 21 days for bonus interest changes (product feature)"

i did mention about the product feature.

Sarah - the CS who called me, shared that the bonus rate of 1.30% each category being the product feature argument has also been brought up to the meeting recently but the final decision made by the product team was no revision shall be made. 'I truly understand most of customers frustration as I am consumer myself, however that was the final decision made by them.'

However, she did not 'close' my complaint as i said i would like her to feedback again to product team that I insisted to be paid 4.10%.
*
No point. OCBC is very stubborn even when they are wrong. Better to get email from them or as per what I wrote below

QUOTE(mamamia @ Feb 14 2020, 12:40 AM)
Sarah is also the one who called me.. I told her to response me via email n I want to bring this up to bnm, but she didn’t send me any email as of now..

We will have to push OCBC to give us an email if we want to write to BNM. Write back to OCBC, stating that's its past the promised date for email reply where their phone call says only 3.6% (important to mention that OCBC insist on 3.6% for whole January in their calls in our email). If they still don't reply after a few emails, then we can write to BNM attaching our emails. That's how to get OCBC to reply us in writing.

Looks like the ocbc rates going to be cut again soon.

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Mar 2 2020, 05:41 PM)
They may not cut as OCBC doesn't alter for each OPR revision.
The previous revision was May/June 2019 right?
*
Please don't cut. Rates are already low enough. If they keep cutting, our MYR will weaken even more

Mine only $10k max. That's the highest limit allowed in the OCBC website.

QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ Apr 24 2020, 12:45 PM)
have you checked your own setting of daily limit?

upon account opening, your RM of the officer will ask you what's your preferred limit, typically set 5k or 10k.

you can change yourself to max, RM30k
