Is there any latest update on which credit card offer 0% BT with zero handling fee? Page 1 / Post #1 seems not uptodate?

Yes, this thread is amazing. Esp the 12-mth 0% BT from MBB which just ended last month. Got ~60K interest free "loan" from MBB+PBB+AEON, n invested mostly in ASNB Fixed Price funds, income earned enuf to get a 55"TV.
*
Hmm, too bad Mbb 0% BT ended, PBB & AEON still available? Any others?

I refunded the excess funds (from MBB BT) from HLB CC to HLB SA without a hitch in endof Nov2016. Your case was after that?

Can transfer to credit card of other bank instead of HLB?

Yes. But I suggest you use Maybank and don't do over 10k.
The last time I tried HLB and they did ask whether it is BT overpayment, and I replied no.
They seems to be getting stricter, not only them but I suspect most banks are stricter now.
*
Does MBB allow BT overpayment? Presume MBB require submission of credit card statement for BT application ?

Unless they practise like PBB, which does not require credit card statement for BR application and thus BT overpayment is possible.

Any other banks apart from PBB do not require credit card statement for BT application ?

What I meant was I submitted BT application from other banks to overpay my MBB cc and then request the money to MBB CASA.

The only BT application I did before without needing statememt is PBB (6 mths 0% promo) and Ambank (for new cardholder 12 mths 0%).
*
Would be helpful if you can confirm other banks on your 1st sentence refers to PBB and Ambank?

Yes. Both PBB and Ambank.
*
Thanks for the prompt response. If BT more than 10k, just need to show to the bank the source of fund is from BT application from, then no issue of transferring from Cc to Casa, right?

I thought AEON minimum BT is RM 1k? How to split then?
*
Sorry for not being clearer earlier. What I mean is to split the application one after the other, e.g. BT one card for say 20k first, then BT another 30k for another card later

I have an offer of 36k 12 mths 0% to BT, unfortunately, all my credit card balance is cleared and I do not have any big expenses planned.

I want to cash out this 36k, except Maybank, any others bank easier to transfer balance to savings account? Because amount is more than 10k, it would be a bit troublesome with Maybank. Btw, I have 3 Maybank credit cards including Maybank 2 cards. Need sifus to guide. Thanks.

Offer from Maybank?

BT comes with fee. But now bank start offer it as 0% BT and start to don't need credit card statement to BT. So it seems like bank is getting benefits from this 0% BT transfer where there is some people unable to repay on time and bank earn from this. Else bank won't keep giving this offer, i.e. PBB & AEON. Others bank are following this trend as well by offer it to new customer or retention of existing customer purpose.

Since when BT without statement started ?

For a long time already. From memory:

PBB proudly advertises their no statements policy

MBB doesn't require statement through M2U applications

Ambank BT doesn't even need a form - just call CS and tell them amounts

AEON is strict and requires statements or online screen shots.
*
Not that many banks have zero interest BT now, only PBB and Aeon, right?

Yes, the form straight waives 3%, it's stated on the form. If they still continue using the same form.
*
Do they charge first then reverse later as stated in TnC?

"The 3% up-front fee waiver will be reversed from the credit card account within 30
working days from the approval date."

Yes. I had applied on 28 February. This is what the CS said. That's why I asked for real life experience. Anyway, I'm doing over payment to Maybank unused credit card, so due date is not an issue. Haha.

Btw, Maybank BT is really fast and furious. 1 March afternoon applied through M2U, 1 March evening approved, 2 March transferred to PBB already (Checked and PBB Online already showed payment in Unbilled Transactions).

Really got different btw number 1 bank in Malaysia and "Ambank".. Ambank applied through calling CS on 28 Feb. Said will call me for verification within 3 working days. No news as at today. bangwall.gif

What is the maximum amount can apply for Maybank balance transfer? Full credit limit or 80% like some other banks?

Yes. I received my overpayment yesterday night (Just in time to put the 30k refund into GIA-I before 10pm). Today able to do the BT and just received the BT approval sms.

So conclusion is unable to do BT through email and M2U when there is overpayment in credit card.

How much excess overpayment? Resulted increased credit limit?
