QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Mar 15 2017, 02:19 PM) My UOB BT seems to be approve already. I see they created a separate cc account for it. Am I right to assume that the they will generate a statement for this and i need to do the payment into this new account? after the 6 month BT term has ended they will just close this account? QUOTE(sj0217 @ Mar 16 2017, 08:20 PM) I having BT with UOB too, this month for my 12/12 BT. How you all got selected? High spending or privilege card holder?Yup, separate account number will be created for BT, and a statement will be generated contain with your BT & CC account. You can either pay to BT or CC account for total statement balance, it will split eventually For closing of account, at the moment I still able to see the BT account, will make a call see whether or not can remove once I paid off. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 21 2017, 09:49 PM) It has been disclosed la. When u call CS for refund to CASA they will request that u email them proof of BT payment. Proof of BT payment is definitely required. Despite provided proof of BT payment, they are reluctant to transfer to CASA. Anyone has experienced this? |

QUOTE(tbheng @ Apr 20 2017, 04:03 PM) Yes, the super duper important item in HLB BT is the special 0% interest "EXPIRY DATE"!!! [Record this down !!!] This expiry date thingy is only for HLB BT? Not aware this imposed by other banks?I had real life experience and would like to share below: The Expiry Date will be notified upon BT approval over phone; and printed on 5th statement (I missed that!!) as mentioned by ronnie. Follow this for no interest charged: E.g. Stmt Date = 1st; Due Date = 21st. First stmt date= 1-Oct-16; last stmt due date= 21-Mar-17; Expiry Date= 1-Mar-17. Pay 5% of outstanding before Due Date (21st) for the first 5 months. Pay (all outstanding - RM50) before the 6th STATEMENT DATE (which is the EXPIRY DATE), i.e. 1-Mar-17. Pay the last RM50 on Expiry Date + 1day. I was charged 18% interest as I was aiming to pay (All - RM50) by 21st for the final month (21-Mar-17). I was lucky to find out about this deadly EXPIRY DATE on 2-Mar-17 (one day after expiry). HLB said if pay all today (since it is Expiry+1day) will be no interest charged. Long story short, I IBFT all on 6-Mar-17, and got charged 4 days interest (2nd to 5th Mar). I am now on a new BT offer, HLB advise leave RM50 before the Expiry Date, and pay the RM50 on Expiry+1day. Not too complicated after all, but painful lesson. All in all, still gain from the FD interest. mamamia, were you able to leave only RM5 for the last payment? I was advise to leave RM50 by HLB. |

QUOTE(chiahau @ Sep 5 2017, 09:21 AM) You can try my suggestion then. Cimb & Ambank have 0% BT? For all or selected customer?CIMB - 6 months BT for 0% HSBC - 6 months 0% used to be around. Not sure if the 12 is still available. Ambank - 6 months also PBB - Always auto extend 6 months 0% You should go an apply a MBB and the second card shortly. Then you can manage the BT rather easily. |
