I just called Maybank to confirm the waiver of 3.88%, and guess what?
The officer confirmed they don't have any promotion of Esycash sweat.gif
EzyCash / EzyCash-i
*
why take the hassle to call again when the t&c of promotion is spelled out so clearly and many forumers here had shared it and some taken the plan had shared it's indeed 0% ?

most importantly the 0% 6 months ezycash promo is VALID. that's all.
no need to wonder why this person giving false info or not.
it's irrelevant

It seems that starting this month, Public Bank will display the total amount in BT and Flexipay in the installment/limit section.

Previously, only Affin showed the monthly installement of BT at that section.
*
yup.
that's a bad move and could affect DSR scoring

Guys is this the correct selection of the Ezycash 0% plan?

Also, why it say charge 3.88%?
*
that is the normal t&c of ezycash.
as now there is a limited time promo on ezycash, so they won't charge anything.
just select 6 months plan and will get the cash in your CASA immediately.

Why is that? Even if it is now shown there, there is already the outstanding which banks can refer for the DSR calculation
*
there is an effect on monthly commitment if they put the monthly payment figure in CCRIS.

assuming you taking total 30k 0% BT 6 months.
5k per month payment.
your credit limit is 100k.
so your credit utilization is only 30%.

and assume your salary is 10k,
monthly commitment
housing loan 3k
car loan 2k
BT/Flexi 5k

quite unlikely bank will approve any new loan as from they see your salary is not even enough to cover your monthly commitment.

while if your monthly commitment is
housing loan 3k
car loan 2k

it's still likely they will approve it.

I remember will see the outstanding like in your case 30K, so banks, depending on the bank policy will include either 5% of the 30K as repayment or some using the whole outstanding as part of the calculation for DSR - at least what I've been told by the credit officer on how her bank doing it (this is only part of the process).
*
yes. they did count the total outstanding & credit limit for total credit utilization as well as total unsecured credit given to you.
but if monthly commitment column > monthly salary, it will definitely play a role.
however, different policy may apply for different banks.

Want to confirm that the MBB Esycash with 0 cost is the  "M2U Plan 6" right. Cos the final page b4 authentication didnt show monthly installment amount.
*
yes. M2U Plan 6.
i think there is a small sentence in application page stating M2U Plan 6 upfront fee waived during promo period.

Assume 100k limit and no usage at all

1st application do 70k (70% of 100k remaining balance)
2nd application do 21k (70% of 30k remaining balance)
3rd application do 6.3k (70% of 9k remaining balance)
4th application do 1,890 (70% of 2.7k remaining balance)

Effectively you can do up to 99.19% of you available limit

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Jul 29 2025, 11:53 AM)
But this round Ezcash is like 70% of the limit, right?
*
yup supposedly Ezcash is 70% of the limit.
but surprisingly for amex card when i check they allow me to do until almost 98% of available limit in 1 single round.
left with RM100+ limit after the Ezcash.
so i just take it. whistling.gif

for my visa they only allow up to 70%

Maybank only refreshes the limit at 12mn every day. The only way you could get 98% of available limit, is if you used up some of your limit earlier today. Did you? I just applied, I too have Ikhwan Amex, I got 70% maximum.
*
i'm not sure how.
but no transaction for the past few days on the card. tongue.gif

if i apply ezycash 6m 0%, once the amount has been disbursed into my CASA and the cc available credit is reduced, can i balance transfer to rhb (smartmove 12m 0%) of the same amount to stretch the payment from 6 months to 12 months & effectively settling the ezycash on mbb?

asking this because rhb cashxcess is only applicable for new-to-bank customers, not existing. otherwise i would applied it directly from rhb
*
you can do another round of 12 months 0% BT from Maybank after done BT from RHB
