HUH ???? WHAT DO U MEAN ??
EVEN MALAYSIA SETS ARE ALL IN MANDARIN ???? omg thats so sad..
even if asus has not, but has WM6 launched english?
*
No-lah wat I mean is the existing ROM is WM5 English and we hv been waiting since early this mth for the upgraded WM6.. biggrin.gif ..so meaning no English version for WM6 yet....from Asus forum, French users been complaining about the "blank screen" problem & another version complaining about PDA can't detect Mini SD...so probably those French & Thai versions are experimental WM6 and probably due to those complains, ASUS withold the English version release hmm.gif hmm.gif

wHY NEED A GPS BOOSTER?? mY MITAC MIO DEVICE, HAS NO PRoblem getting the fix, very stable..

If u are using the Extreme VCOOL (or rite now saftint too) which blocked all infrared signal such as smartag, it will blocked ur satelite signal too..other tinted glass so far OK including mine. I also hv no problem wth my rikecool but I need the ext antenna during tracking-lah...U can't see the diff until u plot ur tracklog using Mapedit or mapsource and u really can see the differences....for normal use, no need ext antenna as mentions few pages b4 ur posting... biggrin.gif

Where did you get it mate?

Is it the same unit as the one stimix is using? I've seen stimix's setup and I find it not bad. smile.gif
China's customer service?
I can't get a signal in my V-Kool tinted car, and I've personally tried having a booster and it really helps, in terms of getting a fix in the car.

My newly bought Garmin Nuvi 610 has no problems in the same car with V-Kool, guess I'd abandon the idea of getting a booster for the moment, but I still would like to know where Strik3 got his booster from at RM 196. tongue.gif
*
Sony he got it from:

Pc-mobile

The price of ext ant & the reradiating unit..and yes similar to my set-up is at US#47.90 +US$5 postage...so after coversion at RM3.70 it's at RM196...probably cheaper..if conversion rate ~RM3.5 (Depending on type of creditr card)

Nah...not really an expert..still learning..U ask me on GPS related thingy probably yes but u ask others PDA functions I dunno much.. blush.gif

Yes u can I have been switching between Mapking & Garmin Que on daily basis...no problem..but occasionally after u opened Mapking, there wil be a minor conflick when u try open Garmin..Just soft reset & us can start GPS proxy & Garmin again... rclxms.gif

BTW on the WM6 Thai English, As u can see from the response I received from Asus, he reminded me to install only "Malaysia" version..or else..if suka-suka try the Thai version and some wording changed to Thai ..It will not be reversaeble anymore + Asus might disclaim this waranty due to non-following their instruction....

er...i soft reset it as ur instruction, then i select GPS gate as COM 2, then load garmin QUe, it showed GPS no connected, then search for COM 3, but end up oso cant connect to any GPS....any suggestion here???
*
I dun use gpsgate so can't comment much but if u'r using GPS proxy ur setting should be:

1) GPS com port: 2
2) All other com ports in proxy =com 5
3) Ensure GPS proxy setting is link to Garmin Que
4) in Garmin Que Interface pg, - also set at com 5 rather than Auto detect

Also the correct GPS2.2c should be "Baud Rate Correction"
