I think you need to qualify your statement as it's only affecting the WoW Oceanic servers. US servers are fine.

Maybe TIME is scrimping on the bandwidth to Australia now.

Glad I finish raiding by 8pm.
*
by any chance, are you affected as well? I'm on between 1k - 5k ping at the moment.

those of you whom are looking to get TIME to use for online gaming.. dont bother for now. it seems TIME can't resolve serious network lag or even bother responding to customers emails.

They're fine when the routing is in place, otherwise it becomes unplayable.

Used to be laggy at one point in time for Path of Exile when the server is located in Singapore. Then came Twitch TV when you couldn't stream on medium consistently.

Now its WoW...so the cycle repeats again.

whats worse..when i tried to call them..they firm believe the network is fine..and theres no issue despite the fact i posted screenshots of the 4-5k ping i was getting. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

For my situation, its definitely not a fault from my end
1) I use a Asus RT-AC68U
2) The lag issue issue happens at a particular hour, 9 pm to 11 pm
3) Its affecting various users, who are also on TIME, but not other users who are on other Malaysian ISP's such as TMNET or Maxis.

What peeves me the most is that customer service wasn't even remotely helpful and kept asking me to restart my modem, restart my computer etc. As if I haven't done all that already.

Well just to stand corrected.

The speed issue is still there after 30 mins of testing download.

I think there is a DL speed cap going on now.

Let met retract my PRAISES for TIME. bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif

It's all gone wrong for TIME at the moment. I dont know whats happening behind the scenes but its a mess. A whole bunch of online games are affected at the moment. I play World of warcraft and its at a bad state right now ping wise.

I think what peeves me off the most is that they dont bother to respond to my emails or when i do call them, they're not the slightest bit helpful at all. The only person that has been helpful is Yeapch01 and he isnt even working directly for TIME. Its just a frustrating period right now to endure.

Yeah, it feels like I'm back to playing on my old Unifi 5Mbps line now... and I don't mean it as a compliment.

anyone in penang experiencing low download speed?

just now im lagging in game and when i did speedtest, sometimes i get only 2mbps download.

in game lag is happening across the board for TIME at the moment. No notifications or anything by TIME that they are working to fix this issue. they dont even bother to respond to emails. They rather just leave everybody in the dark. Top quality service by an ISP that brags its ahead of the rest.

Hi,

I don't have problem with streaming or downloading but when I tried to play online games, it lag unbearably.

Even tried playing RO online with server in SG but the lag...... is this happening to all?
*
Its happening to everyone. I play WoW and i'm getting higher latency than usual. What's worse even after sending them tracerts, multiple emails etc, they refuse to acknowledge the problem or even respond to any of my emails. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not even an ETA to when all this will be fixed. We're all just forced so sit in the dark meanwhile.

Dear bro
Sorry for the hassle you thru , maybe i need your help to test with other ISP , also the ping and tracert on non peak time .

Please help us to help you on the above senario.

Thanks

The ping on others ISP are not affected its just TIME. i've said it before already TMNET and Maxis not affected. The ping on peak hour and non peak hour is the same, i've been saying the routing has changed and has made the latency worse than before. I sent 2 tracerts to TIME to clearly illustrate that. Its been more than a week now and this issue isnt resolved.

Mind to share your game server IP address that you are connecting to?

I had bad experience with TIME bad routing to Counter Striker Source servers located in SG.
The root cause is the server host provider does not connect to local IX exchange and causing packets routed to and fro Hong Kong.

However, when I highlighted to TIME that I see this boomerang routing issue by showing how the connection routed, they fix it immediately.

Of course, jjj2 and yeapch01 had helped me to expedite the issue.

Sounds like the same thing to be honest. This was what I sent to them almost a week back (and they haven't replied to me by email that they're looking into it).
