I was also a new user 2 weeks back (from UNIFI), i just registered my plan TIME 300, and they brought along a router, modem and a cordless telephone ( pay as u use ). All included in the plan although im not sure about 100mbps plan.  I used the ' flexy- switch ' program from UNIFI to TIME so they will compensate me back the rm500 penalty that UNIFI charged me for breaching my contract with them.

Hope that helps to answer your question.
*
The flexy-switch is called RM 500 rebate.

Normally TIME have 1 month free or RM 500 rebate switching from TM and Maxis.

mostly you will get 9x% of ur subcrible speed, so if 100Mbps you will get 96+-Mbps
Megabits.

Hey guys, just a reliability check here.
How do you guys find the internet quality of Time?
Compare to Maxis and TM?
I certainly wish to support TIME to disallow TM monopolizing the market. That's all. I don't need crazy speed but I do wish for low latency.
*
TIME is better quality than Maxis and TM.

Maxis customers complained that they subscribed and they get accurate speed. The plan is cheap but speed not accurate.

TM customers complained that the plan price is too expensive for Unifi.

If you want fast and stable ISP, go for TIME.

Latency is low, as it is good for Gaming, Download and Streaming.

Good for heavy downloads, gaming and streaming,

Download, can download fast.

Gaming, without interrupted.

Streaming, you can stream youtube, netflix and iflix without buffering.

Just ported to TIME 300 mpbs yesterday, stupidly forgot my device capability cant reach full speed.

So here is the questions, will it solve if i got the DLink DWA-182 adapter?

The router is the DIR-850L
*
For Wi-Fi, can't reach full speed, as signal is transmitting over every area in the house.

If you have device with AC supported, you can achieve full speed. Mobile and PC.

If you have device with AC supported, connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi, can reach full speed.'

Stick with LAN to download movies, musics and games.

I will prefer 100Mbit Ethernet over wireless anytime.

Wired is stable and consistent. Wireless is not, I expect around 100+ even if it is beside for a USB wireless adapter
*
I agreed. Even those who have 1Gbps Internet. Even if it is in real, no Wi-Fi Router can get speed up to 1Gbps.

Hmm, out of my curiosity, why won't you use an ethernet cable if the router is just beside you (or your face as mentioned  laugh.gif )?

I can see many people don't want to use cable either because it is ugly or router is too far away from their PC, so they got no choice but to go wireless, so this isn't applied to your case I suppose (router is very near and cable can be easily managed since it is short)?

Ethernet cable is cheap too, you don't have to spend few hundred bucks to get a WiFi USB adapter whose speed is not guaranteed.
*
Yes, this is true.

If our device with AC and connected to 5GHz.

For example, Wi-Fi Router in the Hall.

Your laptop in the bedroom.

Signal not full won't get constant speed.

For people don't like ugly cables around.

Laptop or Desktop in the room, can use AV500 Power Line.

Price might be around RM 130 - RM 160.

Powerline is the best choice if Wi-Fi router is further away from the computer.
