So Time will not be upgrading speed or lowering prices? How are they planning to survive? Everyone will end up using TM

I had stable 50mbps with TM before when we lived on Penang, now we have time 100 and it is a lot less stable, just my personal experience. Also, Maxis is now 129 for 100 and I heard (though never experienced it myself) that Maxis is very very stable.

Just asking, please do not take it as an offense. My experience with Time is very bad no matter where I go. Speed test shows 98mbps (or 280 at my friend's place), but Youtube is buffering 1080p and I can only have decent Whatsapp/Hangouts call on LTE, not WiFI.

I understand router and interference can affect the speed, this is why my HTPC is connected through LAN and still Youtube buffering. I even tried VPN to see it maybe TIME does some throttling, but still same issue. Though test speed will give close to max speed. I don't know how they manage to do that.

Probably depends on the area too. But good for you that TIME works well (no sarcasm at all), I wish it was the case for me. I'm stuck with Time because our landlord provides it, but we're moving soon, so now I can finally choose TIME/Maxis/TM

my experience with Time has been good. service outage since i installed can be counted with one hand (which is going to be a year of service in few more months)

the reluctant and ignorance of TM to pull fiber to home and increase the snail speed is the main reason for me to port out.

people have their choices of staying or leaving their service providers according to their needs.
if you think the other side is greener, you can always jump.

Hi, Archer C9 user here which is AC1900.
I'm using Archer C9 V2 which is the old TP-Link logo.

The performance quite good with 100Mbps.
Able to achieve 100Mbps via both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
2.4GHz set with 40MHz Bandwidth.

Maybe you can get the TP-Link AC2300 for the future if got upgrade.
Or you can get TP-Link  AC3150.

Archer C9 coverage quite good except 5GHz WiFi.
I'm able to get full signal in my room over 2.4GHz and 2 bars over 5GHz WiFi.
If your laptop able to support 40MHz then you're able to achieve full speed if not congested.
I set my 2.4GHz to 40MHz and 5GHz to 80MHz

Archer C9 can support up to 500Mbps on 5GHz WiFi.
1Gbps on Gigabit LAN.

To get 800Mbps on WiFi, the best suggestion is AC3150.
To get 1Gbps on WiFi, the best suggestion is AC5400.

Will wait for AC2300 price to go down.
AC2300 was launched for a year only.
I'm hoping to try the AC2300 but we bought C9 2 years back only which is still quite. If I can sell the C9 then is quite good to get the AC2300.

Me too because of the design of the router.
Only this model that can stand whereas other router are sitting.
Do let me know if you need configuration with this router.
I'm happy to assist you with this C9. IPv6 able to work when enable in settings.
Will change once my router cacat and totally cannot use at all.
Besides reduce price. Also need to remain the same price for existing and new customers.
New customers pay more than existing.

Most probably will choose number 1 and 3.
I'm not sure whether they will reduce the speed as existing and new customers pay at different price.

You may set up IPv6 if you need. I'm using both IPv4 and IPv6.
You may set to 40MHz on 2.4GHz to get 100Mbps for non-5GHz devices.

Which router you use before that?
Previous router was ZTE router. After TIME introduced new plan then existing router cannot tahan with the new speed.
On Wi-Fi only can get 5 - 10Mbps after the TIME's upgrade.
You may upgrade to AC5400 or above in the future when they introduce 1Gbps line and above.
In future, there will new wireless band.

Will upgrade mine when we have a big family in our house.
