Next thing, perform LAN connection and see whether your speed can achieve the upgraded speed.
Try to perform your Wi-Fi speed, if not satisfied then proceed to buy a new router.

You can order D-Link DIR-882 from TIME which is cheaper than outside. Last time I bought TP-Link Archer C9 within the same price range as D-Link DIR-882 as it using AC2600.

There's a catch, if ur contract less than 12 months and u got upgraded to 1Gbps u can't redeem the DIR-882, only if u more than 12 months in contract edi. So new user like me need to buy a new router

500Mbps also enough. For me I'm worry about my router.

I can downgrade without penalty and refresh contract.

Hope no more speed upgrade after this.

Wait till my C9 kaput first. No point buying new router when the existing still working. If very slow on Wi-Fi means I will downgrade to 100Mbps or upgrade to AC5400X. Hehe.

Great to see TIME has been keeping itself ahead of all competitors!
Now I have a bit of a headache with Asus router.
Since it has been upgraded to 500Mbps for free, my Asus old router can't keep up to speed in wireless N, hitting 150Mbps only, while LAN cable hitting 500Mbps without issues.

Any Asus router to recommend to utilise this speed new speed hike? Budget is around RM500.

Let's hope we don't have to wait close to 1 year again for this round of speed / price "upgrade".  By end of the year as per MCMC???

Just to share. Got myself a new T9UH adapter just for fun. LOL.

Test 1:
Laptop in room. Previously :  100Mbps+ up and down using internal AC wifi, after changed to T9UH, it's 2xx Mbps up and down.

Test 2:
Desktop next to router:
Download: 380++Mbps, Upload: 480 Mbps.

So, with a good device, your speed could double even if in further location. Hitting download over 400Mbps still impossible for me, but upload is near the 500Mbps maximum.

Too lazy with the channels settings, i just leave it at auto. Test with a Wifi scanner app. Sometimes got clash, sometimes not. Don't care already. LOL.
