Hi guys,

Today i received an email asking me to change from my current Unifi 30mbps to Time 100 mpbs (Time will apparently bear the penalty charge due to early cancellation of the Unifi contract).

In this case if I switch over to Time, what happens to the home land line number (as it is with the UniFi line)? Do I get to keep it or must I change number?
Also how fast is 100 mpbs i.e. downloading a 1gb file?

Thanks alot for the info.

From what I hear so far Time looks very promising!
*
100mbps = 12mb/sec downloading. 1gb file around 1min+

Time down at oug parklane, again.. zzzzz

report id: 791555

EDIT: As soon as I posted it, connection came back online. It was down for about 30mins I guess.

Im happy with Time's internet speeds/connection/ping. But without fail, it has reliability issues at Oug parklane.

So far it was down on 25th Nov, 1st Dec and today 26 Dec..

25th Nov = internet down couple of hours
1st Dec = internet down for 1 and a half day or so
26th Dec = internet down for 30 mins.

dont really know whats the issue here..

Be glad its not like Symphonet - down for a few days especially during holidays at Parklane....at least if its down they normally get it resolved fast...most of the time...
*
i know, but Time is not a small company like Symphonet.. they are among the 3 major ISPs in Klang Valley.

are you in the residents whatsapp group? everyone complaining, some even feel angry/regretful for subscribing to Time because of this. They would rather have taken the more expensive & slower Unifi, as long as dont have these kinda rubbish.

In 1 month, the internet was down at 3 occasions. and i would say about 50% of the residents here are subscribed to Time. and its not just down for 1 block/building. There's 11 blocks of buildings in total. That's a lot of internet down time for a lot of people.

Just because it's frequency is not as often as that garbage Symphonet. How about comparing vs Unifi and vs Maxis?

Guys, im previously a unifi user so i know i can rely on unifi for online gaming, dota in particular. And now im moving to a new place and looking at other option. How stable is time fiber connection for online gaming? how about downtime, support and etc? My option is between unifi and time cz maxis alrdy out long ago cz i knw their aftersales s***s max
*

The lowest is 13ms.anyway,the area u staying will affect ur network performance or not? Currently staying at sunway. If time really that gooding, i want to subscribe now. Cannot tahan playing dota using my maxis data plan.
*
you didn't have to answer that lol.

I know unifi can never get constant <10ms ping. Because I have been with them for a long time before moving to Time.

Just move over, best decision of your life.

Hi guys, im moving to condo soon and considering time internet with the new 500mbps rm149 (which rumor lauch this friday)
So far im at land house with new maxis rm89 30mbps.
If not mistake, our streaming/download is only capped around 10% of our plan right?
E.g. my maxis 30mbps, but download is around 3mb only.(not spees test, speed test will show 100% of speed)
So TIME will be the same?

Some say TIME support full optic fibre thus can reach 100% of speed given.

QUOTE(Plotong @ Oct 3 2018, 11:05 AM)
OMG....only 3Mbps for download? Streamyx also can do better... Are you sure there is such limitations? Doesnt sounds logical...

There is no such thing with limitation with TIME, you can download full speed from Steam etc. Limit only by your down load source.
*
that one nothing to do with capping LOL.

its how bits and bytes are calculated. 8 bits = 1 byte

generally your internet speed/8 = your dl speed.

so 100 Megabits internet speed = dl speed is 12.5 Megabytes

30Mbps line = 3.75MB/s

this doesnt make sense.

expect riots from 500mbps users if that happens. Same speed but more expensive??
