For those people still on VIP5 and VIP10, I suggest saying no a few times when they call, even if you are willing to upgrade to their Advance packages. The offers will keep getting better.

Just received my 3rd call from them today, but I said 'no' again, since I will be moving to TIME Fibre.

New equipment, free first month (or three), free call package, better HyppTV package... Just squeeze them for everything you can, regardless of whether you are going to make use of them.

And yes. Helps a lot if you are out of contract and no longer held hostage.

As for the TIME card, I think they can call your bluff by checking your service address.

As for the equipment, I don't really care at all because I run pfsense box. Honestly I just hope they have the option to remove the phone and hypptv and just reduce the price.

Just got a call from Unifi CS

I'm currently still on VIP10 with Hypptv Megapack for RM 199 before GST. Was offered to upgrade to 30Mbps while maintaining Hypptv Megapack @ RM199. 600 minutes free calls to any TM number and any mobile network. 1 year warranty extension for router and hypptv box.

Current contract left 8 months to go and it still applies.

Anyone else received the offer?

As per the Unifi CS, my current contract will remain status quo and wont be renewed. I did re-confirm this over the phone with the CS rep and asked would my contract be renewed........she said no. I was reminded i cannot make any changes within this 8 months or i will incur penalty.

She informed a confirmation email will be sent with the details. I've accepted the offer on d phone.

I will go thru TM's email once i receive it and update here.

Got offered 30mb for RM199, I'm on 10mb. Haven't accept yet but I was told I will rugi if I don't take it.

Wonder whether the 600 min call limit is only to other fixed line/mobile? but tm to tm fixed line is still free after the 600 mins?

Also I was told I'm using over the limit for my VIP10 package, limit 90GB but I used 200GB and was told after using over the limit my connection will be slow. Didn't know got limit cap in the first place or am I being trolled by the TM caller? Well I can say they are very persuasive and try all kinds of methods to get you to upgrade.

Received d email on the upgrade to 30Mbps Advanced package + Megapack. 

it is obvious the tm/unifi/dealer are still playing games with pricing for adv30.

and so long ago, maxis got into trouble unable to justify why new users always get better deal than loyals.

what is interesting is they now bring back previously defunct megapack into the offers.

seems it is popular enough, good also for existing users to keep it.

When I sign up for Unifi they have always told me the termination charges is RM500, even when I terminate the TM Point fellas told me RM500 as well how can they charge me extra HyppTV Service Early Termination Charge and Ruby Pack 2 Early Termination Fee WTH

They never told me about this, I didn't know there is a different contract to it.

But Najib says I sign doesn't mean I know and approve!

Say what you want but I was never Ignorant about it, I double checked everything before I terminate, I called once and the customer service told me cancelation fees is RM500, ask again at TM point and the dude tell me it's RM500.  I just went to TM Point and manage to get it waived, so end up paying RM500 to terminate, good thing that they have a better sense in customer service now.

Do note that when they sell me the HYPP TV package they did it over the phone and I don't remember them saying there is extra penalty for termination. It's plain unfair to get charged extra because they have confirmed with me the amount I have to paid for cancelation regardless of the "contract" over the phone. I won't complain if they told me the total cancelation fees beforehand but that was just not the case.

guys currently im using UniFi Advance 30Mbps and ahem iptv. problem is, the iptv seems slow and i need to restart my router regularly while my parent house everything is ok. i noticed they have the different router.

so can i ask for a replacement router from TM?

or any recommendation router for UniFi? i dont need vlan

Because im thinking to downgrade my mega pack to aneka pack because not watching hypptv anymore.

Actually, my HyppTV pack is the old pack before the introduction of the new jumbo pack? Theres no discounted fee for the hypptv as it has no replacement that time when i upgrade my unifi.

Coz previously when i upgraded to the RM169 10Mb package, i heard there were much cheaper package RM149 for the same package i have.

I've asked them call back later before conclude anything, as i know i have dozens consultants here to help me decide.   

Actually if you ask me now, I wouldn't mind upgrading to 30Mbps from 20Mbps now. 50Mbps just great for download and streaming but after checking the logs, 30Mbps is adequate for a family of 5.

Honestly, I don't know if VIP20>Advance 30 is an upgrade or not because the price decreases.

Hey guys, still deciding whether should I get unifi or not. Currently using maxis 2mbps at RM90/m

I've read some of the problem with unifi, but not sure if its true or not and since you guys already own it, maybe you can answer it from your own experiences. So here is the questions:
1. If my internet slow/problem, would the customer service give instant reply to the problem (live in Shah Alam) ?
2.  If I download something from the cloud ie: gigabytes of photos or videos overnight (I edit photos and videos for a living mostly wedding) would it be interrupted and maybe corrupt? (experienced in maxis)
3. If my roommate watch hypptv while I on mmo, would it effect the ping on my mmo?
4. If I play mmo and suddenly a roommate downloaded/streaming drama, would it effect my ping on mmo?
