I upgrade 50mbps last year and still under contract. Did I eligible for free router upgrade?
*
just mention that your router has wifi intermittent issue, router auto restart, not stable, done.

but maybe only available for those who still under 1 yr warranty (warranty may starts from the contract period)

let says you signed 5Mbps on 2010
but upgraded to 30Mbps on 2015

than you are still eligible to claim the free router.
because warranty starts from 2015, not 2010

TM : u wanna free warranty? sign contract, ahhahah

I think you really need to discover the exact timing of IPv6 throttling session.

In my case, my IPv6 youtube starts throttling from 11am till 12:00am.....
It also depends on which CDN you being connected.
Some CDN IPv6 youtube throttling session is 9pm - 12am.
*
and your throttled speed is?

how to verify the CDN connected?

Guys, just a side question since we are on the subject of routers.

Where do you guys place your routers? Is it harmful to place it near you?

As I am using a desktop, my router (RT-N18U) which is quite high powered is quite near me. Furthermore, my room is pretty small.

So I'm wondering whether its harmful to your health long term if such a high powered router is placed near you.
*
free me your RT-N18U, worries gone. bruce.gif

I guess you are one of the those who always complaining cell towers placing too near to your house and school. bangwall.gif

Read something on this years back when I set up the router in my study room. I think the findings were conflicting. Also checked with my ex colleague IT friend, he does not think it is that bad.

My new unifi router will be in the living room (to keep to their 15 m cable limit) and thus further away from us.
*
everyone with IT knowledge sure say no problem
because we want the signal to be good....

You should ask those "scientist", they will say, oh no, u should place your router in here, not there ranting.gif

and some will say cell tower is harmful to humans, it's hard for telco to provide more coverage if these people doesn't want to change their mind. bangwall.gif
