Awww, maxis is shit. Ported out after my data plan incident last time, when they charged me rm800++ for data plan in one month even though i've subscribed to data plan. Complain to ttdi maxis, they said nothing they can do since I deleted sms confirmation and refuse to entertain me, asking me to call customer service. Deal with cs, same shit.
Finally manage to get the issue resolved after i complain and curse them in fb, whereby someone from maxis called and take action.

for me, i have been loyal to maxis for quite some years, perhaps 6-7 years. and pay same expensive price.

later i changed to umobile, i got more data and talks time for cheaper price. however when im travelling outside KL, umobile data is really pathethic.

not long after that, Celcom come n offer RM38, its no brainer. The widest coverage, and good speed. Celcom known for their expensive package, due to their mindset celcom is for executives and companies. so when they offer it cheap, sure grab it.

now i pay no more than RM50 and get alot more during my maxis time few years ago.

PR nightmares... Really curious how many of their subscribers ported out.

Called up customer service, best they can offer me who am an existing Surfmore50+ Surfmore30 user is 7GB data + unlimited calls + RM10 monthly rebate for RM128. When asked why some people can get 7GB for RM88 just gave the usual excuses. But he did say that Maxis is launching a plan soon to counter the plans given by the other telcos. Probably going to be a clone of the offer they are giving East Malaysia now. Most likely will be launched by the end of the month.

hi 5 man. now im considering to go for Celcom First Gold, RM80 unlimited calls and sms + 10GB (5GB + 5GB)

although i would love to wait first and see how it goes. TM also will come out with their mobile products. we can see more fights for the same share of pie

just go bro. it is the best plan. can carryforwrd 5gb somemore to the next bill. the most important, no contract.

u should promote the Celcom line there at Maxis counter hehehehehe

just port out to Celcom first. Cause no contract ties. The longer you stay with Maxis, the more you gonna pay.

明讯（Maxis）针对网传指该公司推出低价的移动数据配套（Mobile Data Plan），昨晚通过面子书作出否认。

该公司指出，一则於今年3月9日发布在本地网络论坛 lowyat.net 的贴文，指该公司推出低价配套，该公司澄清有关配套並不存在。

该公司指出，该公司经常根据不同因素，包括客户的使用期、使用的服务、付费的纪录等，为客户设计不同的配套，好让客户有机会享用各种明讯服务与配套。

「明讯有时通过促销方式，推出实验性新服务，我们经常为客户推出特別配套，鼓励他们的家庭成员成为客户，或延长使用合约。」

东马8城镇居民可享优惠配套

该公司也说，配合沙巴和砂拉越多个城市的4G 网络扩展计划，明讯推出了 4G 移动数据优惠配套，配套提供了额外的上网数据。

「我们想要东马居民享用4G 网络。这项提升计划已在国內其它地区落实，如今轮到东马的8个城镇。」

网民投诉东西马差价大

一名网民 jackson5759 於3月9日在本地网络论坛 lowyat.net 爆料，指明讯为东马客户提供的移动数据配套价格便宜超过一半，和西马的配套价格差很大。

他说，该公司向他的东马朋友推介一项非合约的移动数据优惠配套价格为每月68令吉，配套包括 7GB上网数据、无限通话及SMS。

他说，反观他本身在西马使用的同一款配套的价格为每月188令吉，令他大感不满。

不过，明讯已在面子书贴文反驳网民 jackson5759的说法。

有些网民不接受该公司的解释，在面子书留言表示本身也面对类似问题。该贴文发布17小时內，已有超过1400个网民怒按「生气 Like」 表达不满。

My friend work in telco tower contractor company, this is what she told me. She said maxis use a lot of money to upgrade their tower n coverage for the last 2 to 3 years n maxis is the only telco that don wan to share tower with others telcos reason is maxis want to make most area a good coverage so they always wan to occupy the top tower n if u share with other normally celcom tower celcom will take the top spot n other tenant take lower a bit. Since they invest a lot of money last few years, their plan will be expensive to cover back their cost. (Till this part I agree with my friend bcox I been using maxis for 10 years d n their 4g speed did improve d... atleast for me la...)

Ok... this part is assumption from my friend which I agree half of it. Maxis did not predict that telcos war this year could be so competitive and under estimated the pulling power from other telcos. Wit the money the invest to upgrade their service, they in dilemma on whether they wan to offer lower price package or not. The rate of ppl port out from maxis is too fast until they don hav plan b n so desperate now till their only plan is save as many as possible. That is y they come out with a plan that only offer those who wanna port out. And the part that I not agree is, tak kan maxis such a big company n their marketing team failed to foresee this coming?

Well... I not pro in marketing although I work as marketing in advertising company. All this is only mamak discussion with my friend.

I agree with the first part. Maxis is superior in coverage and 4g speeds.
