Original firmware. No OTA yet. Phone also virginal with not much apps.

If original firmware even without install anything possible will hang anytime. If received update suggest update it.

Have some weird issue with mine as well. Touch screen is a mess suddenly.

Reboot and everything is fixed.

based on your first comment, i am guessing that you won't be getting the S7E but instead eyeing some other flagship. just guessing though

Ppl always get bashed here whenever they report issues about phone here, just because the issues never happened to their phones YET then they assume that u are lying, u are trying to bring down their God phone by simply "creating" some issues that "never exist".

You are not alone. I brought my s7 edge during my travel to Hanoi Vietnam, and experimental using it as my main camera for the trip. Encountered few issues as well, like the apps popping out from nowhere, few times the screen become non responsive for few seconds or minutes especially when using the camera, and auto reboot. The pictures I showed to my friends most of them said the the pic look a bit fake, especially the pic with water inside such as rivers, Coz I think the phone tends to over sharpen the pictures. This is my second time using Samsung since s2. The experience still not that smooth. It is a great phones when it doesn't hang or auto reboot. but it can be quite annoying when it happens.

I never denied the issue, it is there in initial firmware. But latest firmware already solve it. Samsung always did this cause I am very familiar with it. Always got problem in initial firmware. A lot brand I use but I still back to Samsung as I find it still did the best that suite me. I can accept a month later problem get solved.

Anyone else who hasn't received the SMS for the 2nd year warranty? It's been a month and only received 1 SMS for the first year warranty.

I called them yesterday, they said after 30 working days from the date u bought, mine 17th March. Probably next week we'll get the email, or maybe sms.
They said they'll email/sms u regarding the extended warranty.
