How did you diagnose the problem because of 3GB FUP? smile.gif
It could be the connection problem right?
Please enlighten me because I'm now testing this Maxis package, if nothing happens I'll be a user soon. smile.gif
*
When i signed up my Maxis 3G, there is a clause abt the FUP @ 3GB BUT juz tat it is not implemented on this package yet, maybe......

The other package, Maxis Wireless Broadband FUP is 2GB and 5GB and tat hav been implemented.

Dun knoe why, If you wanna knoe why, ask maxis itself.

I actually press them further and i got this answer.

There is no Broadband Package in Malaysia tat gives UNLIMITED access as MCMC specified. Only the carrier/telco wan to implement it or not.

And now u knoe why Maxis dun name this package wif the word BROADBAND icon_idea.gif

I am still using Umobile ( FUP 5GB, not implemented yet rclxms.gif )

QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Jun 19 2009, 12:40 PM)
That's the speed you would expect in a 3G service. Essentially 3G = 48 kBps. With all ISP, the speed advertise is based on *best effort*...so you'd expect at least 70% of the advertised speed which is at least 33.6 kBps.

In conclusion, there is *nothing* wrong with the speed that you're getting...we ALL should get that speed. Some of us are lucky that somehow we can exceed the 3G speed limit and get 3.5G instead. It may be related to tower signal strength & the number of people using Maxis in certain areas.

...I hope you can now *stop* bashing Maxis3G because Maxis *IS* providing the speed that they are suppose to for a 3G service  nod.gif

totally agreed

usually when u lodge a rpt to MCMC, the MCMC guy/grul will call u first to confirm your case and in a day or two, the respective telco ( maxis ) will call you to chk with your writing to MCMC. then in a week or so, maxis will call u again to tell you the result. i made a rpt to MCMC not too long ago abt celcom.....the result favours me in the end... thumbup.gif

It is the service provider that caps the users and it has nothing to do with hardware and infrastructure provider. tongue.gif

Ya but too bad PD has only GPRS for it. laugh.gif sweat.gif

------OT------

open secret

Siemens Network jv wif Nokia to provide hardware & infrastructure to develope the broadband needs of the boleland neards...... laugh.gif laugh.gif

ofcourse there are players around but this NSN is one of them but it all boils down to one final strategic alliance, ie: "malaysia boleh" and u wanna knoe wat boleh means tongue.gif

i nid help on my bill,

i signed up on 9/6/2009
i received my bill yesterday 23/6/2009
billing cycle fr 17/5/2009 ~ 16/06/2009
statement date 17/6/2009
i subscribed to the one number multi sim ( one secondary sim only so far, total 2 sims going on9 , both sims speed is good)

my primary sim was charged rm29.00 for GPRS service usage
my secondary sim hav 2 items billed , "Data Service" rm15.00 and "multi-sim 1 Line" rm15.00, total rm30.00

so total charged rm29+rm15+rm15 = rm59.00

my questions
1) is this normal for the secondary sim to be charged rm15 for data and rm15 for multi-sim, total rm30?
2) why is the first sim charged as "GPRS Service"

moreover i cannot chk my bill thr e-billing although i received the T-Pin thr one of the sim

thanks

i went to maxis yesterday and my doubts got sorted out there

the package can only hav ONE multisim.
the billing will be like this rm99 (data unlimited main line) +rm15(multi sim)+rm15(data service sup. line)+5% tax, if it is a full cycle bill
total = rm135.45

sincerely, i hope maxis wont change it cause its a real deal

thumbup.gif

and new users wannabe, can u pls try others first cause i dun wan this to get congested so fast like siowkom
