She ordered the Note 5 from Lazada and opted for COD to her office. Then next day she got an email stating that the item has shipped and will reach within 24 hours. The very next 24 hrs, the deliver guy (TA-Q-BIN) called her and mentioned that he wants to send the item. But unfortunately, she was out of the office and asked him to re-delivery tomorrow to her office. The guy insisted and said he will send to her house instead. She then agreed and the delivery guy (wearing normal T-Shirt) arrived around 6pm at her house and she took the phone without checking the content.
An A4 paper (TA-Q-BIN letter) was provided to her for signature upon receiving the phone. But before she signed the paper, she was curious as there were no vehicle (van, motor etc) nearby him. She then asked him where is the delivery van and he said its outside. She was lazy to ask any further question and just proceeded to sign the paper and provide the money to him (She had no problems purchasing items from Lazada previously, so she trusted them and just sign without checking. Big mistake!
Upon opening the package (which took some time because the package was packaged securely), this is what she got instead :

She called the delivery guy and obviously the lahanat didn't answer. She called TA-Q-BIN and lodged a report immediately. After awhile the assistant manager got back to her and informed her that the package is with them and all the document (A5 paper) for signature is also with them and they told her will investigate this issue. So now they are in the process of investigating and discussing with Lazada as well.
What I think had happened is, one of those irresponsible staff from Lazada/TA-Q-BIN has leaked the information of the order to one of their friend to plan the scam. The scammer got away with the money while the item is still with TA-Q-BIN.
She informed Lazada as well. Now Lazada investigating and deciding the next step to be taken. Hopefully everything goes well for my friend's sister.
Btw, if it's true that one of Lazada/TA-Q-BIN's staff is the one who leaked the order information (privacy breach), they (the company) can be sued right?
PS: Always check your item when receiving the item from Lazada or any online marketplace (especially the one who like to opt for COD).
