Go for vita 1000 or vita 2000 slim?

What is the difference between vita 2000 slim previous generation and the latest generation with blue/orange colour?

if you love JRPG, i would say yes. the Vita is my primary machine for JRPG and other Japanese games.

the main differences between 1000 and 2000 :
- Vita 1000 uses OLED screen, Vita 2000 uses LCD screen.
- Vita 1000 uses proprietary charging port, Vita 2000 uses micro USB port
- Vita 1000 has estimated battery life of 3-5 hours of gameplay, Vita 2000 has estimated battery life of 4-6 hours of gameplay
- Vita 1000 is heavier, Vita 2000 is slimmer and lighter

the minimal differences between older 2000 and latest 2000 Vita :
- no anti-shatter film on later 2000 Vitas, pure glass with oleophobic coating
- matte housing on the front, rather than the glossy housing on older 2000 Vitas

Currently, the Vita were made into a gaming device that plays multi-platform game on the go.
Most of the latest Vita games are either available on PS4/PS3 or other mobile platform.
So, if you do only have time pick and drop your game anytime, Vita seems to cater to that need.
Want to play Lego games but you're on the train to/from work, play it on the Vita.
Want to play JRPGs at home but there are others using the TV, play it on the Vita.
Want to play action games such as God Of War/Metal Gear Solid/Warriors games but you're on a holiday trip, play it on the Vita.

True, the graphics need some time to get used to, especially when they are being compared to PS3/PS4/PC, but at least you don't need to be fixed at some place to game.

I just hope Vita can still get the indie support.... becoz there are a few indie games that I am still waiting for them to be released on vita after launching on Ps4 but seems like it is not the case anymore.

YEY! I couldn't log in to to PSN last night for some reason. Probably an update is required.

What's the improvement?
I hope it's not just to remove the ability to install homebrew software.
If it is, then please support the console more Sony.
Get more PS One, PSP and PS Vita games on the stores for all PSN servers.
Reduce the memory card price.
Improve the browser and browsing experience.

i doubt we will get any support except piracy pervention. Wait til NX bury Vita, maybe Sony will stop selling Vita.

Haih, they only need to make some effort, to make things better for their own customer. sad

Sony is trillions (in yen) in debt. Vita will be cast aside so that they can focus on PS VR.
