Se main objective is to market it as a budget handset. Recycling the old design and specs are understandable. Having a brand new design with newer specs would require extra r&d cost which Apple would definitely amortize the cost with higher retail price.
Apple knocked down a few main criteria, upgrading the cpu, ram and battery life. However, if 3D Touch is to implemented, it would seal the deal for many.

That is a major improvement in everything. except the shape of the phone of course. 

if you upgrade from 5S to SE, is improvement in term of camera, ram memory and also the processors. Whereas 6S to SE is a downgrade in terms of screen size and also front camera

I think you'll get bored of the screen size but staying relevant? Sure can.

every iphone can last around 2-3years, if no issue at all i think around 3-4years.

its because of the A9 processor which same as 6s.
so it should lasting same as 6s too, the lifetime as it using the latest chip compared others.
so, SE and 6S will be the same lane.

example: 6 can be only update untill certain firmware in future. but 5s no longer. as different processor..

Battery will probably be dead by 3th year thou.

A replacement ain't expensive, however
