Conte better start early pre-season planning, transfer in and out, sort out the current team players. Cant afford give the current players holiday or time off so much, later their performance drop in first few matches bangwall.gif

I glad to hear Terry signed extension 1 year contract... rclxm9.gif

Meanwhile our loanee LB is doing well at Watford. Time to recall him back maybe? With no CL next season, at least we can promote our own youth instead of signing star players who want CL hmm.gif

Also we have a bad news to come along with good news of our loanee army. Fiorentina mau Chelsea pay compensation 30million for Salah issue. So next season we no money sign players cry.gif

Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake named Watford's Young Player of the Season

One-time Chelsea Young Player of the Year Nathan Ake's wonderful loan season at Premier League newcomers Watford ended on a most positive note last night when he was named the Hornets' Young Player of the Season. Congrats, Nathan!

It's not often that our loans work out as well as this one did for the 21-year-old left back, who's also capable of playing (and perhaps just as good) at defensive midfield and center back. Add in the fact that he really is just 21 even though it seems like he's been around forever -- he made his Chelsea debut at 17 -- and Ake's future looks fairly bright.

There had been some talk of him perhaps staying with Watford for another season, but as of right now, he and his Ruud Gullit hairdo look to be heading back to Chelsea and joining up for Antonio Conte's first pre-season in charge. Plenty of changes are expected at Chelsea, but if we're looking to build from within, Ake should be near the top of the list of potential youngsters to integrate into the first-team.

Fiorentina seeking €30m in compensation from Chelsea for Mohamed Salah debacle - report

Despite its sudden disappearance off the airwaves, the "Salah-days of Our Lives" soap opera isn't actually over, certainly not as far as Fiorentina are concerned. According to Italian newspaper La Nazione (via Calcio Mercato), La Viola are seeking €30 million from Chelsea in compensation for the Mohamed Salah loan-transfer saga.

This (outrageous) figure comes from Fiorentina's calculations on the loss of profits caused by Salah's absence from their squad this season -- they believed they had (and exercised) a club option to keep the winger for another year on loan; Salah disagreed and moved to AS Roma instead in August (also on loan, at least initially). Added to the compensation sought by Fiorentina are the costs of acquiring Salah's replacement, Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic for a rumoured transfer fee of €5.5 million.

Since the start of the saga back in June last year, Fiorentina have gone from trying to force Salah to stay at the club against his wishes to making threats to other Serie A teams interested in his services to submitting a complaint to FIFA. In January a report from Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Chelsea would be forced pay compensation to Fiorentina based on FIFA's potential verdict, but nothing of the sort has come up thus far. How this demand from Fiorentina relates to any FIFA verdict (if any such thing is forthcoming) is unknown, but the longer this saga gets drawn out, the more ridiculous it becomes.

(Meanwhile, Salah's transfer to Roma isn't exactly crystal clear either. Roma did claim in official documentation that they've signed the player on a permanent basis, but Chelsea seem to have no idea about this -- he's still listed as a loanee. Stay tuned for more drama.)

Next season our formation is 3-3-4? blink.gif blink.gif
Conte utilize this formation during 2013-14 at Juventus they said.
So now we searching for players to suit this formation... hmm.gif

WATCH: Antonio Conte's 3-3-4 system explained

The appointment of Antonio Conte as Chelsea's next manager is one that opens up a lot of different possibilities for the club. But aside from the fact that the Italian will be in charge at Stamford Bridge next season, we really don't know what else to expect from a Conte-led Chelsea side.

There are many variables at play when hypothesizing about what the team could look like next season. Conte has utilized a three-at-the-back formation ever since his time at Juventus. Having virtually the same back line to deploy for both Juve and the Italian national team obviously helps in picking a lineup. Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, and Leonardo Bonucci all featured for the new Chelsea boss at both levels of play.

The video above, created by Michael Jolley, a UEFA Pro licensed U-21 coach at Burnley, shows exactly how Conte's 3-3-4 system operated during the 2013-14 season at Juventus.

Chelsea have a lack of depth at centerback in the current squad. Perhaps a swap to three at the back wouldn't be possible. But maybe with some moves in the transfer window we could see a shift towards something similar to that Juventus team stylistically. Or not. Who knows? It's still very interesting to see how his teams worked, fleshed out in video form.

Antonio Conte switch of formation for Italy yields success against Spain
Last Updated: 25/03/16 12:12pm

Italy head coach Antonio Conte changes worked against Spain

Antonio Conte said he got the required response from his Italy players after playing an untried 3-4-3 formation against Spain.

Conte, who will quit his Italy post after Euro 2016 amid reports he is moving to Chelsea, deployed a formation that included a few surprise additions in the 1-1 draw at Udinese's Stadio Friuli on Thursday.

But the doubts raised before the game gave way to cautious optimism as a new-look Italy, who have failed to make it past the first round of the past two World Cups, played some attractive stuff in a game that ended the European champions' seven-game winning run.

The performance has given Conte belief that, in France this summer, there will be no repeat of the disjointed campaign that saw Italy limp home from Brazil two years ago.

Italy drew 1-1 with Spain

"I got the answers I was looking for but we have to keep our heads down and keep on working with the enthusiasm that the lads have been showing," said Conte.

"I can promise this to all the Italian people: we will have a team, and a great group of players, who want to fight for this shirt."

Antonio Conte eyeing big Chelsea transfers to fit entertaining 4-2-4 formation

Mark Brus for Metro.co.ukThursday 21 Apr 2016 8:40 am

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is eyeing big-name transfers to fit into an attack-minded 4-2-4 formation next season.

The Italy boss, who will leave his post with the national team to take over at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2016, has been inspired by Leicester City’s success with a similar setup this season.

Despite a reputation for being defensive, Conte believes he can bring entertaining football to Chelsea and change the direction of the team from the Jose Mourinho era.

This could mean a busy summer in the transfer market, with the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Zlatan Ibrahimovic possible targets in attack, according to the Daily Mirror.

Elsewhere, Conte is also believed to be keen on signing Radja Nainggolan or Javier Pastore in midfield, while Leonardo Bonucci is being eyed to strengthen the team’s defence.

The former Juventus manager also hopes to keep hold of star players such as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, despite their significant dip in form this season.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is known to have privately hoped for a more attacking side on show at Stamford Bridge, and Conte seems ready to move away from his own tactical instincts with this radical new formation to appease the Russian.

I read the same transfer news or rumors about Emmanuel Mammana and Antonio Rudiger. I do understand Conte wish to keep Terry to train new CB. I recall we have Nathan Ake who is loaned out, why we not recall him back to train with first team? Why having loanee army who performed well for some of the players loaned? Even Cuadrado is not doing bad himself. There is even transfer rumor that we wish to go for Pogba. Yes, that MU selling him off earlier rclxm9.gif

2) Pato
His loan will end in 1 month time. He says he prefers stay in Chelsea or Europe. But not China biggrin.gif

3) Alvaro Morata
If we playing with 2 forwards upfront next season using Conte formation, then we might go for Morata. He says he wish to play regularly.

4) Romelu Lukaku
We never short of rumors of former players coming back. This is one department, strikers we need beef up for next season.

TLDR version:
- We not Salah! The last part say Salah still a loanee to Roma, looks like we can capitalize and sell Salah to Roma since Roma like him blink.gif
- Conte, Hazard, Courtois asking a new midfielder Nainggolan to join Chelsea rclxm9.gif
- And lastly that Doctor and Mourinho stuff finally settle out of court... Mou no need say soli, Chelsea say soli sweat.gif

FIFA finally render a verdict on Fiorentina's claims against Chelsea in the Mohamed Salah transfer debacle

It looks like the soap opera that has involved Mohamed Salah, Fiorentina, Roma, and Chelsea might, at long last, reach its conclusion soon. On Wednesday, FIFA finally made a decision on Fiorentina's claims of wrongdoings by Chelsea in this whole saga. The verdict: not guilty.

"We can confirm that the dispute resolution chamber (DRC) dealt with the dispute opposing the Italian club, ACF Fiorentina, to the player, Mohamed Salah Ghaly, and the English club, Chelsea FC. The findings of the relevant decision, without grounds, have been communicated to the parties on June 8, 2016."

"The claim of the Italian club was rejected. Since the decision is not yet final and binding, we are not in a position to comment on it any further."

-FIFA spokesperson; source: Football Italia

(And then we can start figuring out whose player Salah actually is nowadays. Roma had once upon a time issued an official financial statement, which claimed that they had exercised their buy-option. But recent reports would seem to indicate that he's still technically just a loanee, and Roma's director of football Walter Sabatini had even traveled to London to conduct negotiations over the winger's fate. Meanwhile, Salah recently won Roma's Player of the Month award for May and has become a fan favorite. Stay tuned.)

Conte, Hazard, Courtois doing their best to convince Nainggolan to join Chelsea

To leave or not to leave: that is likely to be the question constantly nagging at the back of Radja Nainggolan's mind as the still-AS Roma midfielder trains with the Belgium national squad during their preparations for the European Championships next week.

At the very least, Antonio Conte seems to have already made an effort to convince Nainggolan to come to Chelsea for next season, with the player admitting a meeting with the new Chelsea manager. And he's not the only one, as apparently our own Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have been in Nainggolan's ear as well. But the midfielder wants to remain focused on the task at hand instead of thinking about transfer dealings.

Maybe if he had agreed already and not played hard to get, he wouldn't have to worry about distractions!

In any case, we're clearly doing our best in to woo Nainggolan, both on the financial and the personal front. We shall how effective it's all been soon, hopefully, though probably not until after the Euros are done in a month's time.

Hazard team will meet Conte team for Euro rclxs0.gif

Eden Hazard confirms Nainggolan whispers, looks forward to showing Antonio Conte what he can do
By David Pasztor  @D_Peezy on Jun 12, 2016

Ahead of Belgium's Euro 2016 opener tomorrow against Italy, Captain Eden Hazard addressed the media in today's pre-match press conference. Among he usual rah-rah topics were questions about teammate and potential Chelsea transfer target Radja Nainggolan and questions about future boss Antonio Conte, who just happens to be the manager of Monday's opponents.

First, Hazard confirmed that both he and Thibaut Courtois have been whispering in Nainggolan's ear about a Chelsea move. No, this is not "tapping up" but in and of itself, it also means very little, other than the two of them rating the AS Roma man very highly. Chelsea still have to convince Roma to sell (i.e. $$$$) and have to convince Nainggolan to uproot his comfortable existence in the Italian capital (i.e. more $$$$).

"Thibaut and I want Radja Nainggolan to join Chelsea, but we are not in charge of the situation."

-Eden Hazard; source: Evening Standard

Hazard suffered a knock in Friday's training session, but is expected to not be any worse for the wear by the time kick-off rolls around. He's not only looking forward to getting Belgium off to a good start to a competition many expect them to win, he's also looking to impress the man in the opposing dugout.

"I can't wait for tomorrow night to get started. It is a great competition, being played in my second home country, so I am impatient to get going. This is the moment that our country has been waiting for."

"We saw already that the big teams had some tough matches to start with, but we'll give our best. Our team has quality and we must create as many scoring opportunities as possible."

"I am happy to play against my future Coach and hope to show he can count on me."

"We aim to reach the Final, it won't be easy, but we'll take it one game at a time. I appreciate being the captain. I am not someone who talks very much, but I want to show my captaincy on the pitch with the ball and set the example."

-Eden Hazard; source: Football Italia

Hazard called on his pal and chauffeur Kevin De Bruyne to also step up. It will not be easy against Italy.

Pallotta ready to build The Great Wall of Rome to keep Chelsea away from Radja Nainggolan
By Fellipe Miranda  @Brazfoot on Jun 12, 2016,

With Roma set to lose Pjanic, getting Nainggolan has just become even harder.

Roma president James Pallotta recently came out with some strong purposeful words about his club keeping Radja Nainggolan but as the rumors continue swirling, he needs to keep reiterating them. The latest, from Gazzetta dello Sport doesn't have direct quotes, but does claim that Pallotta is willing to basically build a wall between Chelsea and Nainggolan.

What's he going to build this wall from? Money of course!

Miralem Pjanic is on the verge of completing his switch to Juventus who have activated his buyout clause, and that cash injection of £30m or so should enable Roma not only to pass FFP regulations but reward Nainggolan with a new contract, which Pallotta believes is all that the Belgian midfielder is actually looking for. All the coy talk about Chelsea is just to engineer this raise, which would also come with a €50m buyout clause.

That clause is certainly low enough for Chelsea to still hit if we want, but it would put the ball firmly in Nainggolan's court, who has repeatedly stated his desire to stay in Rome. So even as Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois whisper in his ears to try convince him to join, "Ninja" could simply be levering all this into a nice payday at Roma.

Hmmm.. I watched Italy versus Belgium.... Look like Conte strategy worked quite well. Except for that Lukaku 1 on 1 situation. Necessary yellow cards professional tackles after 1 hour match... Not bad not bad. I suppose the question we are asking is Chelsea has the players to pull this off or not?

Seems Lukaku and Hazard are working fine together, get back Lukaku? icon_idea.gif

We got linked with 2-3 striker(Lukaku, Morata, Boufal), see below brows.gif

Álvaro Morata already in talks with Chelsea — report

Juventus striker Álvaro Morata has reportedly drawn interest from several big clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but it seems that Chelsea have taken the lead in the chase as La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia) reports that the Blues are already discussing contract terms with the Spanish player.

Even though Real Madrid are still keen on purchasing the 23-year-old back from Juventus via their buy-back clause of €30 million, Chelsea have already tabled a €60 million offer for the player and entered talks to arrange his personal terms. The major impasse at the moment are his wages, as Chelsea have offered €6 million per year to Morata, €1.5 million short of what he wants.

But even in this stalemate, Chelsea's offer is still head and shoulders above the terms Juventus could offer to Morata. His demands of €7.5 million-per-year would put him above midfielder Paul Pogba and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on their wage bill.

Considering the amounts that might be invested on Morata, it would appear that Chelsea are indeed set to make a major tactical shift towards a two-striker, two wingers set-up with Antonio Conte at helm. Hopefully there will still be money left in the bank for us to invest on quality midfield and defensive prospects further down the summer transfer window.

Chelsea, Arsenal join race for Lille attacker - report

Chelsea and Arsenal have joined the chase for Lille attacker Sofiane Boufal, according to the Guardian. The player is also rumoured to have drawn interest from Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur.

In an interview to Le10 Sport, Boufal's agent, Yvan Le Mée revealed that his client already held talks with Barça.

"We did have a meeting with the leadership of FC Barcelona in the last few weeks. There is an interest. Now the reflection is whether Sofiane Boufal will go to Barcelona to compete with MSN (Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar) or should he go to a club where he is going to start matches and express his exceptional talent."

"We have also initiated discussions with three other clubs that interest us, but they either have or will change their coach or the coach is in charge of a national team at the Euros. In England, there is interest, but the English market is just beginning. A transfer of 20 and 25 million euros is not resolved in two weeks, of course."

-Yvan Le Mée; Source: Le10 Sport via Guardian

The 22-year-old joined Eden Hazard's former club in January 2015 for €4 million from Angers, scoring 15 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions for Les Dogues since his arrival. He's also won the accolade of Ligue 1's Best African Player last season.

Although Liverpool and Tottenham signalled their interest on previous occasions, Chelsea and Arsenal were the only English clubs reportedly willing to meet Lille's asking price of €25 million for Boufal.

In the 2015-16 season, Boufal featured mostly on Lille's left flank of their 4-3-3 scheme, but he also found his way onto the opposite flank and, on occasion, taking the pitch as the central attacking midfielder of a 4-2-3-1. He's still recovering from an MCL knee injury picked up in April 30 that took him out for the rest of the season but it shouldn't impede his move to a bigger club this summer.

Given the list of teams supposedly interested in him, Boufal should be a quality player; but is he really a need for a Chelsea squad already stacked in his position?

Marek Hamšík's agent stokes the transfer rumor fire, sets price for Napoli star

Marek Hamšík has been one of the biggest stars of Euro 2016 so far, Slovakia and Napoli's star man finally taking that star turn on the (second) biggest stage in the world at the age of 28. He was quite well known beforehand so we can't really call him a breakout star, but his performances against Wales and Russia have gotten tongues wagging at or above the level at which they were wagging about three-four years ago.

Back then, Hamšík stayed with Napoli unlike Cavani and Lavezzi, and I don't really see a reason why that would ever change, but his agent is still doing his agent-y best to keep things murky and vague.

"After the match with Russia, I had a number of phonecalls. I won't be specific at the moment though, Marek has a contract with Napoli. His value was already high, and it certainly won't have gone down. He was already well-known, it's not just about these two games he's played."

"It could be that [he leaves for €35m), it depends on the conditions of Napoli. It could be higher or it could be lower. Or in the end it might be irrelevant [because he could stay at Napoli]. Yes, anything is possible."

-Juraj Vengloš; source: Pluska via Express

Alongside Chelsea, the rumor mill's naming the likes of Manchester United and Juventus as hot on the heels of the midfielder. Are any of them at all closer to acquiring him? Doubtful, but, hey, anything is possible.

Hamšík and his national supporting cast will be taking on England later today. Will be interesting to see how he deals with Premier League-calibre defenses.

What you guys think about these news? Remember our former goalkeeper Cudicini? Now he is our club ambassador and look like it is no harm done to promote him as our goalkeeper trainer biggrin.gif

Carlo Cudicini might join Antonio Conte's staff at Chelsea - report

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea want former goalkeeper and club ambassador Carlo Cudicini to join Antonio Conte's technical staff next season. Di Marzio reports that the move already has the approval of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

The now-retired Cudicini arrived at Chelsea in 1999 on a loan deal from Castel di Sangro, and joined the club permanently the following year. He accumulated 216 appearances and 101 clean sheets for Chelsea during a 10-year spell at the club, being our first-choice keeper from 2000 to 2004 until Petr Cech's arrival from Rennes. Carlo then moved on a free transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, and ended his playing career at Los Angeles Galaxy in 2013.

Although Di Marzio's report doesn't mention which function Cudicini would fulfill within our coaching staff, it's quite likely that he would be a goalkeeper coach, perhaps helping to smooth the supposedly rocky relationship between Thibaut Courtois and Christophe Lollichon.

Matt Miazga having Chelsea medical ahead of Premier League move

It came as a bit of a surprise when Chelsea were suddenly linked to New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga, but it looks as if that move is very close to being completed. Sky Sports is reporting that the United States center back is having his Chelsea medical, ahead of a £3.5 million transfer deal which will see him join last season's champions.

While I'll admit I only casually follow the Red Bulls, I've seen enough of Miazga to be a little skeptical that he'd contribute anything to the first team right now. I'd have to think that the young American will eventually become a part of Chelsea's ever-growing loan army, though it's certainly possible that he spends the next few months in London, adapting to life in Europe, training with the first team, and having a great view of Chelsea's matches from the seat recently vacated by Papy Djilobodji.

Regardless, Miazga is a very highly regarded prospect from one of the fastest-growing football markets in the world, and is certainly worth the inexpensive flier the Blues are taking on him. If he works out and becomes a key player at Stamford Bridge, it would be awfully hard to complain about the minimal fee paid to sign him. If he doesn't? Well, Major League Soccer will probably still pay a premium to bring him back to the United States.

Conte keen on adding to his striker options at Chelsea — report

According to The Times, Chelsea remain keen on Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. And also remain keen on Juventus striker Álvaro Morata. And also remain keen on former Chelsea hopeful Romelu Lukaku. And probably several other strikers. It's all part of manager Antonio Conte's supposed plans to try to implement his two-striker, two-winger style next season at Chelsea.

Chelsea have been built to use a single striker system ever since the first days of Jose Mourinho, so even if Diego Costa stays, which he should, and even if the likes of Traoré or Abraham factor in, Conte's plans would understandably need an extra infusion of proven talent. Whether Benteke qualifies as that proven talent, I'm not too sure, but it would probably make Eden Hazard quite happy to have his Belgian national team BFF at the club, too.

Christian Benteke, who's surprisingly young still at just 25 arrived at Liverpool last summer in a £32.5 million move, after scoring 49 goals in 101 matches for Aston Villa. At Anfield, Benteke wasn't anywhere as prolific though, but he still managed 10 goals across all competitions. Thanks to a few fitness issues and a perceived lack of trust from manager Jürgen Klopp, Benteke started just 20 of the 42 matches that he played, amassing a total of 2,200 minutes.

Given those numbers, perhaps Benteke could produce again as he used to with consistent playing time. Would he get those minutes at Chelsea? Only Conte knows.

Chelsea's massive €50m Bonucci bid fails to meet Juventus's asking price — report

According to Italian sports channel RAI Sport (via Inside Futbol), Chelsea had a €50m transfer bid for Leonardo Bonucci rejected by his current club Juventus. Earlier reports by the Italian media claimed that Juve had set the center back's price tag at €60m, with the club less than inclined to let go of their prized asset.

Bonucci had a memorable performance against Belgium last Monday in the Euros, the highlight being a marvellous long-range pass that set up Italy's first goal of the match. Beyond just that performance, the 29-year-old has been an integral part of Juve's squad since his arrival in 2010 from Bari, with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte also playing a crucial role in developing him into one of Italy's best defenders.

Chelsea's interest on Bonucci might be real, considering his current ability and how perfectly he'd fit a need in our squad and also his relationship with Conte at club and national team levels. But given Juventus' financial power and unwillingness to give away one of their key players — as shown by the ever-increasing demands related to Paul Pogba in every transfer window — buying Bonucci wouldn't be easy, if at all feasible.

Nevertheless, Chelsea are still in sore need of a veteran centre back, and one at the top of his form. If there's any hope of convincing Bonucci to join, every effort must be made.

Ops, forgot blush.gif

Got one club want sign Dilobodji nod.gif

Papy Djilobodji, who once played the most glorious one minute of League Cup football this world has ever seen, is apparently on the radar of Werder Bremen, with whom he spent the second half of last season on loan. And while he did get suspended and Europe-wide press for an ill-advised gesture, he also scored a most crucial goal to keep Werder out of the relegation quagmire. Certainly not a boring season, especially when compared to his time at Cobham.

In fact, it would appear that Werder are mulling over a bid to keep him permanently.

"He's still on our map, and we are looking into it. But there is nothing concrete yet."

-Frank Baumann; Werder sporting director; source: kicker via ESPN

Chelsea bought Djilobodji for less than £3m last summer. You get what you pay for, as the old saying goes.

Cynicism aside, Djilo had a decent time of it in the Bundesliga and if Werder wants to help us close the books on this sorry episode, please, by all means, go right ahead.

I got the feeling that italy will win. Not because conte but spain attacking will benefit conte defending. Just like us back then when mou 1st time managing us. And im pretty sure italy wanna revenge after previous euro incident

I do appreciate Conte gets chances to see how Eden and Courtois play for Belgium in Euro, and now Costa turn to show him what he capable of thumbup.gif
