The only downside is MFD one 85cm and one is 30cm for 100mm. But I checked the price... 85 mm is 2x 100mm price.....

i think what he meant is because the 100mm starts at f2.8, a prime that starts with f1.4 or f1.8 will be sharper if it is stop down to f2.8

Nah, just , my thoughts, but seeing the price tag. just to get extra aperture with 2x the cost. not worth thought

Got them several years back and they're still performing really well. So didn't find a reason to upgrade it.

I got those fluid heads second hand as well haha. Nothing wrong with trying to save money. Photo/video stuff are generally built like a tank.

In fact, most of the items I purchase are second hand.
I am getting a samyang 14mm T/3.1 lens second hand later as well. Just hope there will be no fungus/defects haha.

Well. Any pan heads will be way way better than a ball head. Besides, dslr are a lot lighter than a full size video cam. So even cheap ones are not that bad when used with a dslr.

I have like 2 China micro fluidic head.
One to the tripod mount and another which is a ball joint.

I mainly use an inexpensive manfrotto 128 rc microfouidic panhead. It's good enough and light enough.

Of course. All my system have a rc2 mount on it so I can easily swap tripods/stabilizer/etc on the go.

Yeap. Videos are something very different when compared to photos.

I've used yunteng.  It's fine and does the job.  In video usually moving slower usually gets good results. 

Sometimes I call it video tai chi.  Cuz many people get easily excited and move it too fast.

I jumped ship from Canon 6D to Sony A7ii.

But use Mc-11 mount for my 24-70 and 70-200
