QUOTE(guy73 @ Mar 3 2019, 05:15 PM) Hi guys.. a fast noob question here. I just bought EOS M6 and just notice that the battery meter or level not shown on the display (refer attached pic). How to enable or make it show at the display? Thanks in advance. the very best thing is to check and read the old fashion user manual. try pressing the info few times![]() This post has been edited by Grajindo: Mar 3 2019, 08:29 PM |

QUOTE(zeroendless @ Oct 6 2019, 10:19 PM) Not sure you could complete turn off the screen unless its position with back facing up. Though you could change the screen only show setting information instead of live view by clicking on info button. You can also go to setting (see screen info settings) by changing what to show on screen. see manual page 397 i see. find on other website saying there's no way to turn off the screen unless back facing up which would not be that convenient as well. seems like the only way is to keep it in setting information screen to save some juice. hoping that there could be firmware update for this. |

another question, while i use the viewfinder and select my focus point using the the touch and drag function, once we drag and release the place where we want to focus, why won't it focus automatically to the selection? i will still need to press on the AF on button to focus, and press shutter to shoot.
however it will automatically focus or even take a shoot if i use the main screen and not viewfinder. |

Finally brought my newly bought EOS R for first ever outing.
Putra Mosque by Victor Ng, on Flickr Putra Mosque by Victor Ng, on FlickrOverall pretty good but it really drains the juice quickly esp when I'm shooting long exposure. |

QUOTE(Michaelbyz23 @ Oct 20 2019, 10:17 AM) Btw canon eos app lets you shoot beyond 30 sec? Yes you can. basically you set your camera to bulb mode. and press once to start and press again to close. but it's not exactly like how intervalometer works whereby you set how many second. you need to monitor it. it works for now but im looking for an external intervalometer as well. I havent tried it, i am using external intervalometer, tw-283 by pixelpro on my 6dii and 5diii previously.. Havent tried on EOS R, should work. how's the tw-283? i'm not sure if i like the idea of having 2 separate modules since it's add up the weight in a way |

finally got to really try out the eye tracking focus. very impressed by it. i've never thought that i'd be using that as much especially coming from a traditional 6D body when 99% of the time my focus point is in the middle.
but after trying out extensively yesterday for a kid's party and today street shooting, i have to say that i'd be using this a lot more than i thought. can literally shoot from hips and still get the focusing right today while doing 'street' photography. |

QUOTE(kayclum @ Nov 6 2019, 05:24 PM) my old 6D was imported set it worked fine for me for the last 5 years with extreme usage (often in downpour). the thing about imported set is about warranty which in my case i didn't need since it worked well |

QUOTE(minizian @ Nov 8 2019, 02:32 PM) Hi guys, 200mm for motorsports is very very limited I'd say. I used to shoot at Sepang down at the track, at some corners even 400mm on crop body is still quite small. If primary usage of the lens is for motorsports and plane shooting, but with limited budget, I would say go for third party lens either Sigma or Tamron for the extra reach. Something like 500 or 600mm. I wanted to know if anyone have handled 200mm f/2.8L II before? It seems like this lens is less talked compared to the likes of 70-200 or 135mm f2. I prefer prime lens as it is lighter than zoom lens. My primary purpose eyeing this lens is to use it for plane spotting & Motorsport photography use and also for low light usage due to the f2.8. Should i get this first or save up for 400 F5.6 instead? I see that both 400 f5.6 and 200 F2.8 does complement each other in different situation. I look forward to hear back from the group soon. Happy 6d version 1 user here. Unless you are shooting at some other smaller circuit which doesn't require that reach. Back to the days when I shot for Super GT, using cheapo Sigma 400mm. QUOTE(minizian @ Nov 9 2019, 11:07 PM) Hi, No there's no prime within that range if I remember correctly. Sigma has 2 different version, contemporary and sports.. Get the sports version if budget allows.thank for the reply. I have checked around the closest to that at budget level would be sigma 150-600 and Tamrom 150-600 G2. I dont recall seeing prime lens from those third party maker? unless I missed out something? |
