Had a meet & feel session with the EOS R6, R5 and a bunch of RF lenses today thanks to Canon Malaysia and CPS. They even brought a model for us to take test shots with. Perfect timing as I'm just about to get an R6  laugh.gif

Warning: pic heavy!

looking to get a flexible zoom lens and came across the Sigma 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM

seems it doesn't hold value very well, ie: New is RM5850, but used RM1300 (all from Shashinki, except used has been sold).

Wonder if sifus here have any suggestion for zoom lens if not this ? Been eye-ing Canon 100 - 400 L for a few years now but could never justify the cost as a light/amateur user tongue.gif

I suggest for Canon 70-300 nano USM version. (c/w small LCD screen)
If you want look for third party lens, either Sigma / Tamron version of 100-400 is not bad.

My experience as follows

1. price accurate.

2. lens no issues

3. tripod (bought my Vanguard gun-grip) - that one got taxed.

If you're using an apsc and IQ is not the utmost concern, some of the tamron super zooms are pretty decent, lightweight, not going to break the bank.

I've only personally tried the 18-300mm, 16-300mm... IQ is of course not the best on the tele end, but can't beat the price/package ratio.

Good price, much cheaper than in Malaysia.
Bought few items with them before, no any other extra charges.

haha I keep the 1Dmk2 as a "prime" body ... mostly paired with Sigma 50mm 1.4

still enjoy that "2 button" hold to change settings laugh.gif

Found a temporary lens hood for the latest RF85mm f2.0 that works, and doesn't break the bank. Fits perfectly, and holds firmly to the lens EW-77B

Yes. It happens to at around 1.2 to 1.4.
If you stop it down further, the difference will not be very pronounce already.
