I guess Canon know people will still buy the 6DII even if they strip out lots of stuff to prevent eating into their 5D, 1D and cineline market.
Wow, now even the 200D is going to have a flip-out screen. |

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Aug 15 2017, 09:24 AM) https://petapixel.com/2017/08/14/canon-6d-v...ise-comparison/ Major major screw up, I bet that can't be fix by firmware. At most they are only adding 4k video in firmware, maybe 2 years later...So the canon 6D2 noise performance is worse than the 6D haha. Those with 6D here can rejoice that their replacement is worse and not worth replacing with. Canon is really screwing this up though. |

Until news agency around the world changed all their system to Nikon or Sony, I don't think Canon will feel threatened.

Canon after sales service for pro photog are also top notch, even in 3rd world country like ours and I think those working with the 5D and 1D series will benefit greatly from it, if they got the money and earns a lot taking photos.

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Jan 9 2020, 02:35 PM) https://petapixel.com/2020/01/08/canon-done...rs-demand-more/ If Canon release a 6D which can capture video like the 1DX3 does or better, people are still going to buy it together with new EF lens. The EF collection is pretty complete, with the body being the weakest link. They cripple their DSLR/mirrorless too much to protect their cine line, letting other manufacture to get ahead. No newer models for EF lenses planned. Even Canon is going all into mirrorless. I’m still going by with my 5D4. Will wait for the EOS R2 for my next purchase. This post has been edited by edmund_yung: Jan 10 2020, 08:06 PM |

Wow that R5 and R6 price. R5 is almost like 1DX III level pricing, I wonder what will the R1 look like......

I heard can choose 120/60fps for the evf, hence the discrepancy.

It'll be epic if Canon ever put IBIS into their DSLR FF or APSC line.

QUOTE(engseng @ Jul 31 2020, 04:32 PM) Multiple outlets with inside information are reporting that Canon is holding back and/or delaying shipments of the new EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras as a result of the overheating issues that early reviews have been reporting. This could be a sign that a recall is in the works. I guess the 7S3 gave them tons of pressure. 4k120 with sound, and 4k60 which doesn't overheats. |

I'm glad this year Canon finally caught up in the dynamic range department which Sony and Nikon shooter has been enjoying since... what? 2014? I got a XT-1 because of its better dynamic range for landscape.
I'll definitely pick up a R6 once the price come down, probably when the R6mk2 is out lol. |
