4k video is disappointing
It's a 1.64x crop.
This means smaller fov and I believe the image quality will take a major hit too. (For lens that cannot resolve such a small pixel size)

Thinking of jumping ship to Sony.

Forgot to mention the mother of all complaint. Rolling shutter. Good luck getting that ironed out. Knowing how much 4k processing demand on a cmos sensor, it will be bloody expensive. Canon is currently developing global shutter on this issue but i bet it will not be implement on dslr for many years. 4k on smartphone is possible due to lower end construction compared to dslr. But who watches at 4k?
*
And some rookie shooter miss out sony shoots UHD not cinema 4k and sony has 1.5 crop for 4k too

So canon 1.74 crop still make sense actually

But many will look at specs and bash like how the canon rep said

Shud try first and then only decide larh

yeah i know, but at the end of the day people will still find things to complain. gh4 is a much video camera than a 5dIII and even 5d IV right? but still not every videographer using it, i wonder why?

blur could really mean many things, out of focus or really wide till the focus points also already run...
the number is the aperture number, while USM means ultrasonic motor, u can read them here

i use it mostly to shoot group photo. and i found out that my picture always blurred at both side (altho im using high aperture).
so im curious what does the 1:3.5-4.5 USM stands for ..
*
Its a natural phenomena for some lenses to have softer sides that's why when we take group shot we will ask them to stand more in the middle if can and then later we crop a bit

Just my guess

It maybe he sharpness in ur picture profile setting

And one thing, not necessarily shoot at f10 means gonna be sharp
Its different for each lens, some lens reach max sharpness at f5.6 then after that may become soft again

Good luck bro!
