But f2.8 with the smaller sensor size, u get lesser DOF. But yeah RX100IV is compact, but is it good enough for your purpose, surely don't fit mine.

yes, it's quite slow but after i tune the custom setting, it gets slightly better and i manage to use it to do quite a lot of sports photography, rugby, football running all sorts of sports..

Just curious. You use the viewfinder or live view to capture your kids? Cause those two method use different af system. That or as far I know, old days FF not very effective for sport shooting compared to apsc unless you go single digit model.

I can only think of using software to limit the AF range so it only hunts in that range. Just like how in telephoto lenses there is a hardware switch.

Anyway, 6d can't take anything moving quickly. The focus speed is too slow in today's age. It's just slightly better if not the same as the canon 5D2.

I'm thinking of switching to a micro4/3 as well.
The 4k there and compactness is too tempting.

5D2 should be dirt cheap now.
Below RM2k.

5D3 is about RM5K.

5D2 AF will not be as accurate as your 60D, but it should be better in nearly everything else.

i was wondering 24-105 f4 L is it good for indoor shooting? now a days those restaurant or hotel light is not good most of the time need to fire flash.. will the F4 enough or getting the 24-70 F2.8 is is better?

Are you still using the tamron 28-75 F/2.8 ? how was it compare to 24/70?

Guys, if anyone of you is using sigma 17-50 f2.8, des it have slow autofocus ? Because I just bought tamron 17-50 f2.8, and the autofocus sucks ...Sometimes it cannot focus, sometimes it focuses really really really slow....Was thinking of selling off the tamron and buy a sigma 17-50 , provided that sigma has no problem autofocusing as well.

I googled about my tamron's issue, some said if you turn off vc , it would focus much quicker but I have tried both , on and off vc， the results are still the same , not sure whether it's just that my lens is a bad apple or what

tamron optics are good , but im not so sure about their mechanical quality. i had the first version of 70-200 few years ago and it had 0 issues throughout the 2 years+ of ownership. whilst the 24-70mm i just got last year (used unit), had its aperture unit failed after a few months of casual usage (costed me rm580 to replace). the autofocus motor seemed to start making weird noises too, but it was fine before sending for the replacement of aperture unit (told the technician about this issue and he managed to fix it, but after a few weeks the USD started making weird noises again).

I looking for replacement body for my 60D, budget around 3-4k, 2nd hand/new is fine...

I'm at the crossroad in deciding whether to jump ship or not. Deciding to wait for canon mirrorless ff, or go with m6, or jump to sony.

Currently 60D. Initially thought of moving to 6D or 5D2/3, but considering the weight and size, so I'm thinking of changing to mirrorless. I use mostly for travel & some casual shooting.
