slow n inaccurate....try X-T2, more than 80% accuracy. Hehehe

haha that's the problem, after 6D i am like stuck, it's either i go for another higher range canon dslr (which is crazy to even consider) or i'd have to change the system altogether, of which no doubt i think xt2 performs waaaay better than my current 6D setup

If weight/size is not a concern, then upgrading to higher range Canon should be wiser choice as U still maintain your arsenal of lens.
*
that's another point of headache... my lens wont worth much if sold these days but to get something with the same kinda arsenal, i'd be bleeding!hahahaa
so far maybe might just get a used rx100iv, it's equivalent to 24-70 and has 4k hmm.gif hmm.gif

But f2.8 with the smaller sensor size, u get lesser DOF. But yeah RX100IV is compact, but is it good enough for your purpose, surely don't fit mine.

Just curious. You use the viewfinder or live view to capture your kids? Cause those two method use different af system. That or as far I know, old days FF not very effective for sport shooting compared to apsc unless you go single digit model.
*
viewfinder, i only use live view for manual focus when i take my foodie shots

I am curious too.

Tweak AF so it'll be faster ?
I can only think of using software to limit the AF range so it only hunts in that range. Just like how in telephoto lenses there is a hardware switch.
In theory. I don't think if there is such an option lol.

Anyway, 6d can't take anything moving quickly. The focus speed is too slow in today's age. It's just slightly better if not the same as the canon 5D2.

I'm thinking of switching to a micro4/3 as well.
The 4k there and compactness is too tempting.
*
anyway, just feeling strange that everyone is oooo ahhhh about sony and fuji but no one seems to be saying much about the likes of GX8 and OMD... only a fraction of price compared to those 2...

It depends.
If it's a full cleaning. Got to come back another day.
But those sensor cleaning booths they have during trade shows can get it done in an hour.

would be good to go to the next canon event then! thanks! hmm.gif

I m holding 550D and 600D.

I m shooting more on actual day/night wedding.

Any suggestions?

5D2 should be dirt cheap now.
Below RM2k.

5D3 is about RM5K.

5D2 AF will not be as accurate as your 60D, but it should be better in nearly everything else.

still miss the articulating lcd + flash combo on the 60D tongue.gif

Guys, if anyone of you is using sigma 17-50 f2.8, des it have slow autofocus ? Because I just bought tamron 17-50 f2.8, and the autofocus sucks ...Sometimes it cannot focus, sometimes it focuses really really really slow....Was thinking of selling off the tamron and buy a sigma 17-50 , provided that sigma has no problem autofocusing as well.
*
so far i have used 4-5 tamrons, so far all so good...

I see ...
I googled about my tamron's issue, some said if you turn off vc , it would focus much quicker but I have tried both , on and off vc, the results are still the same , not sure whether it's just that my lens is a bad apple or what sad.gif
*
hard to say, coz u need to have another lens as comparison, generally most normal lenses under older bodies have slower focus wink.gif

tamron optics are good , but im not so sure about their mechanical quality. i had the first version of 70-200 few years ago and it had 0 issues throughout the 2 years+ of ownership. whilst the 24-70mm i just got last year (used unit), had its aperture unit failed after a few months of casual usage (costed me rm580 to replace). the autofocus motor seemed to start making weird noises too, but it was fine before sending for the replacement of aperture unit (told the technician about this issue and he managed to fix it, but after a few weeks the USD started making weird noises again).

Currently 60D. Initially thought of moving to 6D or 5D2/3, but considering the weight and size, so I'm thinking of changing to mirrorless. I use mostly for travel & some casual shooting.

Sony, considering A6300/6500 or A7ii.

what about lenses? the prices of sony&fuji is very much different compared to canon wink.gif
