QUOTE(Rice_Owl84 @ Oct 26 2017, 10:30 PM) Just sold the last of my Canon apsc stuff. Now everything Canon I have is full frame. And for my video work its Panasonic (Thank you Canon for making me go 2 systems for you lacking video improvements). haha glad that i stayed with 6d1Traded in my backup camera the 7d2 for a 6d2. So it didn't feel like it was expensive. And having so many Canon lenses and speedlights I can't really jump ship without really financially hurting. Hopefully, it won't be so bad as I play around with it now as my main event photography camera. Now I have the 6d1 and 6d2 to play around with and compare. Right now I'm enjoying this flip screen DPAF Full frame. And it does feel like Canon has been quite stingy - Like calculating the most minimal upgrade possible. Seriously the improvements are so minimal. I can see why people don't like its AF point layout. Looks like a super smart center focus system, which doesn't exactly always hit where I want it to, so I'd rather still switch to 1 pt center focus then. I like how you can do a few custom changes to the viewfinder. A grid in the viewfinder is very nice. What is the 6D2 like? A ton of new modern features that gives the same end result as a 6D1. If that makes any sense lol. |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Oct 27 2017, 02:33 PM) even ancient FF like 5D II (my current camera) is still fantastic to use, and they are so cheap these days. Basically no point to upgrade from 6D to 6D II if you don't need the AF and flip screen. thanks boss your food pictures are always awesome too bad its all about gear talks and not photography discussion these days by the way, what i would love to see would be canon coming out with something that can rival fuji xt2 or even something like a6500, coz the way i see the minimal upgrades they add into the ff these days are really not worth investing |

QUOTE(Grajindo @ Oct 27 2017, 06:15 PM) was hoping 6dii would be something that worth upgrading since sometimes i do struggle with the 6d af system.. finger crossed that the mirrorless is really something worth to wait for if not i will eventually jump to sony haha even under studio setup and pretty average light, the 6D really does struggle to focus, pengsan |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Oct 28 2017, 10:07 AM) the m5/m6 are quite nice to use actually, tried them at camera shop and i quite liked it. too bad they are kinda overpriced, rm4k+ for the m5 is unacceptable. exactly the reason why i wont invest in the m5/m6, so bloody pricey, pengsan... i heard that canon is developing FF mirrorless? sounds exciting to me, especially when they already have really good AF for liveview. |

QUOTE(TrialGone @ Oct 28 2017, 10:38 AM) Knowing canon's half-baked solution not to cannibalise their other model, I won't bet on their mirrorless. I was really looking forward to m5 when it was first announced but their pricing just killing it for me, coupled with almost Zero development on m-mount lenses. I can bet, they will just tell you to buy their proprietary mount adapter to use their EF mount lenses. haha i bought and sold the a6000, cannot tahan the noise Ended up getting a6000 instead after m5 announcement. A real shocker since that a6000 came out in 2014 and no camera has beat it yet in terms of functionality vs price. |

QUOTE(TrialGone @ Oct 28 2017, 11:39 AM) Then buy 6300 lo yup, was comparing it against my 6D, for me my requirement is simple, the image quality from the new camera must be on par if not better with my current gears |

QUOTE(TrialGone @ Oct 28 2017, 02:01 PM) Then getting a FF is a no brainer. Not sure why you bought a6000 in first place QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Oct 28 2017, 05:33 PM) u know y i got the a6000?1) all online reviews raving about how fantastic the noise control is! 2) sony groups all giving 3 thumbs up! 3 because the worst review was having 2 thumbs up 3) so many af points for moving objects 3) i needed something small to shoot my kids, camera bag now with bottles n diapers 4) had a deal too good to refuse for a used set so after really reading thru nearly every user experience, i got it! but it was shocking, the outcome was totally opposite! the AF points were useless, i can like burst my shots, but out of 50, i think only 2-3 was on focus. then came the noise, i had to resort to shooting at max iso800, and upgraded the firmware on both camera and lightroom, but the noise were really bad, so bad that u cant even correct via photoshop |

QUOTE(TrialGone @ Oct 30 2017, 10:14 AM) You make it sound like the worst noise performing sensor but every apsc and m43 regardless of brand are like that. That's why many recommend not to exceed iso 3200 for apsc and 1600 for m43. And at that price point what you expect eh, i was using 60D and 5d classic last time for jobs la, and i am convinced both of them outperform the a6000 on noise control any given day. ofcoz again not apple to apple comparison, but once you have set your eyes on the limit u can accept, u will never allow yourself to take a step backwards... but for this case, again i would have to blame the near-perfect reviews plastered everywhere haha |

QUOTE(jitshiong @ Oct 30 2017, 11:29 AM) Don't get me wrong, I loved canon. But i don't think M5 can beat X-T2 yet. my only problem with fujiN I'm getting older, DSLR is too heavy. Well, some sacrifice needed. I change everything. Sure lose money.... N fuji is pricey too..... 1) price 2) hardly any choices from 3rd party omg i see their prices of mid zoom n macro lens, memang kena sell 1 kidney hahahahaha |
