No, you can uninstall the app after you save the settings.
But if you need to adjust or turn it back on, you need to download the app back.

:/ getting no match for fingerprint can be kinda annoying.

Also, does the photo backup by itself to somewhere? Or do I have to set it up myself?

manually of course. even google photos need you to enable it first before auto upload.

As a first time Samsung user I'm actually quite okay with all the bloatware. A lot of stuff came already organised in folders, so it wasn't messy or anything. There was only 1 page of apps in the app drawer.

Honestly we don't get much bloatwares here compared to those in Europe with carriers customization.

I find that even music app wasn't included by default and you've download it from samsung store.

Here is my list that I it should be optional. It can't be uninstall though!

• voice recorder
• s health
• s voice
• google
• play movies & tv
• hangouts
• microsoft word
• excel
• powerpoint
• one note
• play music

this ones maybe bloatware to you but I use them.

skype, onedrive, youtube, gmail, chrome, drive, photos, samsung gear, facebook

Can you utilize them if flashing to other rom?

When u flash other rom, the whole system partition changes to the new files from the new rom. So not relevant.

Just disable system app you don't use is sufficient. Purposedly removing or uninstalling may lead to issues if you don't know what the app actually does or links to other apps maybe broken causing fc.
