diff people diff preferences

for me.. even rm100 x 12 makes no difference.. why so care of rm1200 even they gave u annual fee for free?

i have so many cb credit cards from all banks.. every time i use them i just simply take one out and swipe it.. i wont make myself so stress and remember which cc to use.

just remember groceries for this card, petrol for that card, etc.. rest i don't even give a f on it..

if the bank want to remove, go ahead la.. its not like the bank gonna loss profit and neither do i will make a loss too..

so use ur cc like a boss , dont make the bank as ur boss  flex.gif

That's right, but mine are using it to make some free drinks and petrol, so yup, like you said, our preference matters thumbup.gif

If annual fee is in may, should we stop using the card now and wait till 28 for the cash back for last mth to be reflected before cancelling the card. If use this mth then need to wait till 28 may which the annual fees might be charged already.

That's why you shall not assume that HLB is giving 10% cash back, they don't and never give 10% of cash back from the beginning.
The max cash back no matter how you do are <9%.
So tell me, why card can give you 8% of cash back hmm.gif

My chosen categories for WISE cashback are grocery and departmental.

10% cashback are still given to any grocery transaction performed during this month (April), as long as 10 times RM 50 transactions are completed within a month, right?

The new terms and conditions for this card is still not in effect, right?

Thanks for the info. smile.gif
*
Just spend as usual until official announcement and the actual date in effect.
Any other source from HLB, it is not verified and just some group of jokers kakikong, kakisong.

if u have max out 100 every month, meaning 1200 per yr i see there is not a problem to pay for small fees of AF

and there is no any official announcement out yet
*
Pay rm170 to get rm1200, the ROI is 600%. or 50% a month. Gamble in stock market also no easy to get this amount. Dumping money in trust funds? Sure, agent enjoy the 50% ROI first rclxs0.gif
The work required is just spend rm985-1000 a month. In our day to day spending, rm1000 for a month are not much basically, especially you have a 1-3 years old child, just the bloody milk powder already whack you a solid bill of rm300-600, If travel by cycling sure no need to pour petrol, else another rm100-300. Vege, meat(groceries) also can fetch a bill of rm300-600. So what is this rm1000 nowadays rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Apr 18 2016, 11:22 AM)
the AF is meant for the following year so if they are to change the benefits, there are reasons to be worried about.
*
Why not think it on the bright side, 1st year AF are waived all the time, so don't think it as 1st year free, take it as you have to pay AF after 1 year of usage, then no need to be butt hurted.

I like this idea.  biggrin.gif

Is mainly even after pay AF, the cash back still > 5%, else early early I dump this card.
Only my "1st" year I get true 10% of cash back since my 2nd year AF also waived laugh.gif
Remember, from the beginning there's no 10% cash back to start with.

thats why i say AF is very little compare he/she can get cb 100 every month haha..

yes if u have 1 child for example.. go for groceries 1 enfagrow 1.7kg cost u above 100 easily

1 month 2-3 tin.. the rest milo and other like fruits vege horlick

easily achieve 1000 groceries per month

not to mention drypers and other necessities

so overall paying AF is far worth  bruce.gif
*
When we can think like this, then we won't feel butt hurt.
Simple, if you spend using cash, the risk is you may get robbed or injured, worst case, robbed and get killed doh.gif
If not on this also, for every rm1 you spend, the value are rm1.
With cash back card, you only pay rm0.95 or lesser for every rm1 spent.
If some jokers still feel butt hurt on this, go back to old life and don't apply for any credit card and use cash only rclxs0.gif

I dont think you guys get what I was trying to say. I did not say the AF is a lot nor little. What I was saying is that if the benefits are no longer there, I won't be sentimental to try and keep the card regardless of the AF is RM100 or free for life.

On your 11:22am reply is already a clear cut that you are butt hurt, simple as that whistling.gif

How do you know it will not be there when there is no official announcement? It's not a loss again to keep for 1 yr even if they amend any changes.
*
That's the power of speculations rclxs0.gif
No speculations = no life doh.gif
Some just like to simply speculates and get attention. For me is better if they were to revise the cash back, so I can change card again.

Nothing is firm, just continue to use as normal. When something goes on only decide.
If it does not suit your needs, cancel the card is the best way.

@supersound

I have been monitoring your posts and I'd suggest you to be more responsible in the way you dish out your sentences. Often your replies are not based on facts that will be helpful to our readers and this raises my concern given the frequency that this has been going on.

I'd strongly advice you to rethink the way you are posting in this section and please take it seriously as the next step will be consequential management. The choice is yours.

Same goes to other forumers when I read their post ....  rclxub.gif
Guess soon my fan club will reopen again  doh.gif

Let's see, does HLB says anything on the cash back revision? I see nothing from HLB website, even from the staffs that working in the branches also says nothing.
So the fact is, nothing has change on the cash back. Telling fact also wrong?
Maybe you as a fair moderator, what you shall do is see who is the joker that spread rumors and take action against that person, this is the only appropriate way to stop cyber war.
Also, if a person feels he being cheated, can always cancel the card and call it the day, is this also wrong? Or are you thinking that just some ranting in this forum can change the reality fact?

The whole thing begin with "multi quote" by some arrogant forumer. He will make use or to be exact; "abuse" the report button constantly/periodically !

You know.. sometime we could not just use the "multi quote" function as we are catching the time, buying the ticket while replying, watching movie and many more unforeseen locus. Of course, if the particular forumer request us make use the 'multi quote' function, he should bring the matter into PM (that is the function of PM, make use of it) !

Sometime we might have different opinions/suggestions/point-of-view. But if one could not agree with each other, i see no wrong for a debate in a healthy way provide with facts. Sometime, we did mistake too; after all, we are a human. If one could not accept other opinion , that doesn't mean he could abuse the report button constantly.

I'd suggest you write an official email explaining the whole situation with screenshot if you felt the post browbeat you directly or indirectly. At least, that is what i did when i felt i was right and offense no one nor against any board rules.

Sorry for the long post and for the OFF-TOPIC post.

Thanks!
*
"multi quote" for me is when few person's replies will be have same meaning only I'll use that, else I just split it.
Too bad you are using small gadgets to type, that will be a problem on using multi-quote. Does any rules says we must use multi quote when replying? Nope, I don't see any. Technically I'm not wrong. Remember on Tun Lim's case on "misleading" the cabinet? By law he is not wrong.

@aromachong. I'll appreciate if you will not be judgemental to another member of this forum. That person been around longer than you are and his history of character vs. yours. I'll not hide the fact that I have received many complaints on your conduct/posts and I took the effort to observe rather than reacting right away. If you wish to defend yourself ... I'll suggest you start deleting all of your offending posts (hundreds if not thousands) - they are evidence that speak for itself.

I'll suggest that this ends here and you guys start afresh/anew. I won't repeat myself.

@supersound ... your sarcasm merely tickles me. So I want you to obey by shutting your nonsense, can you do that ?

Hahaha .... ask any of the senior contributors here - I don't care about earning respect (I think some seniors can vouch this) and I have a fan club to boot. I am myself and that's my identity.

The guidelines in this section applies to all and even the seniors are not spared. It is not solely my own opinion that I made that statement - there's a collective opinion on the subject matter. I merely delay conveying it and I choose to state it publicly rather than via PM -  voicing it out publicly is my choice.

Good if you know you are in a serious thread. Let's move along.

You will have my respect if you are taking hard action against the person that spreading fake info. Else, I take it as personal baseless attack and I need to follow as you have the power(to abuse).

Hi, I applied credit card but got rejected by the bank lately.. called the bank they said the issue is high commitment i think because of my house and car loan.. i want to ask if i applied again and attach with my fixed deposit will it helps? or will get reject once more?
*
Never pledge FD to get a card, you will be tied by the T&C, not to mention you need to waste money on stamp duty.
BTW, both of the loans are under which bank? If under HLB, this matter can be settled easier, just get your loan officer to apply for you. Make sure you have a clean repayment record.

*
In some sense yes, apply for Maybank cards got higher chances to get approved.
But their cash back cards are limited to groceries, petrol and dining only. This also need to have combination of 3 cards doh.gif

Any transaction they need 1-3 days to post it. Remember, cash back will be calculated base on posting date and not transaction date, so the transaction posted early on the same month or carried over to the next month will have some effect on the cash back you are getting.
