When I check my TP balance in M2U, there's the available balance which is the total for my primary card only. My wife's supplementary card TP is shown but is not included in the total available balance. So my question is can I redeem all (primary+supplementary) TP points into my own asiamiles account? Or does it have to be separated?

And normally how long on average does Maybank take to top up the AM account?

If can use amex to pay for 5x TP I would do it. Since the miles for me is worth more than the 2.5%. If can only get 2x TP, no.

Yeah, like your calculation RM1000 surcharge to get 80k TP which is 17,777 miles. Almost 6 cents a mile which is what I value them around.

But if 5 TP, you'll get 200k TP which is 44,444 miles. Only a little more than 2 cents a miles. Definitely value la unless you have more miles than you can spend.

In short (for me), 5x TP worth it to pay 2.5% surcharge. I just redeemed companion award on CX for my wife KUL-JFK-LAX-HKG-KUL for 128k miles. The ticket I bought for myself was slightly more than 15k. So I got more than 11 cents value per mile

Couldn't agree with you more... Well some people feel defensive and therefore defend their abusing of the system. So they're saying this is intended "feature" of ewallets.

Anyways I think with more time this premier thread will gather more and more people who just reload ewallets and mostly withdraw.

Oh well, since we're to mind our own business, my suggestion is to go all the way. Get supplementary M2P cards, BP account, boost account for all family members. 6 cards should get more than 400K TP a month if MU win. Let's see how long Maybank, BP and Boost can tahan.
