I disagree, even if I have 100 million TP I would still convert to AM. But preference for others of course would vary. Some prefer SQ or *A partners I guess

May I know is this the final surcharge amount showing on Asiamiles redemption website? Just wanna confirm the taxes/surcharge before deciding on KF or AM, but I don't have enough AM to reach the confirmation page that show the tax amount.

ITAmatrix shows the taxes for return KUL-JFK on CX is about RM1.3k, where YQ is about RM764 (compared to SQ's 0 YQ), but it's still nowhere near 2k above just for carrier surcharge alone.

I dun know why the flight from Penang via CX (via versa) comes with high tax rate? Because of Cathay Dragon?  So usually I redeem flights via SIN>HKG>Destination, tax is much much cheaper as I dun might to stopover at Changi airport.

Yes, I used CX from SIN>HKG on A350 instead of PEN>HKG on A330.

Hi. Wanna ask.. i applied my maybank SIA KF Amex in October last year.. the expiry month on the card is May..
My question is: for the minimum spending of minimum RM60k in a year to get double miles, it is tracked from the month of approval (october) right?
