QR world ranking no.2
TK world ranking no.18
BA world ranking no.31

Depending you wanna save miles or enjoy experience.
*
Avoid BA.

Both QR and TK hard product is good, I would pick either 1 depends on the timing and availability.

Both lounges at home hub is superb too, and IST is a new airport

Hi,

New to this airmiles game...

If i am going to convert my TP to kf/am, can i book for my spouse using airmiles?
*
Yes. Both KF/AM, you can add up to 5 persons in the redemption group.

I disagree, even if I have 100 million TP I would still convert to AM. But preference for others of course would vary. Some prefer SQ or *A partners I guess
*
If I have 100 million, I dont care biggrin.gif

your seating place vary the noisy level from engines, as well as bumpiness when go through turbulence

nose is quiet, body less bumpy.

generally, A380 tend to be more stable than A350
A380 is more quiet too
A350 is pressurized at lower altitude hence more comfortable, to sleep (i clocked my longest sleep for SIN-MUC, 9hrs straight)

and all hands legs agreed on the bulkhead seats!

Yes, agree, not really worth to fly within Asia.
Flight replaced to old suite can ask for discount / partial refund?
Especially those book with Advantage. Ha.

So happened I can waitlist on Saver, and I only need to fly 1 leg, so kepo go and waitlist.
If it was approve before I purchase ticket, I will go for it.

Will keep my miles for London next year.
Actually looking into Frankfurt A380 new suite, but super hard to find one, bcos the same plane fly further to NY.
*
new a380 fly to Frankfurt?!

Thanks for the tips! I checked the site is only until 31st May? Sorry, I'm noob in this. https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/plan-...romo/kfescapes/

Cannot be too flexible, will be in September because that's when we are slightly more free from projects and China kids go back to school, so can explore around peacefully.
*
Spontaneous escape will release monthly around 15th, and for booking up to next month end. it's worth for EU, but not really for North China and u need to factor in position flight. The promo only to/from SIN.

May I know is this the final surcharge amount showing on Asiamiles redemption website? Just wanna confirm the taxes/surcharge before deciding on KF or AM, but I don't have enough AM to reach the confirmation page that show the tax amount.

ITAmatrix shows the taxes for return KUL-JFK on CX is about RM1.3k, where YQ is about RM764 (compared to SQ's 0 YQ), but it's still nowhere near 2k above just for carrier surcharge alone.
*
taxes vary depends on carrier, destination and time of booking.

PEN-HKG-JFK, booked on Jan '19, HKD 1219, 1 way, per pax.

I can help you if u wish to check, PM me date.

I dun know why the flight from Penang via CX (via versa) comes with high tax rate? Because of Cathay Dragon?  So usually I redeem flights via SIN>HKG>Destination, tax is much much cheaper as I dun might to stopover at Changi airport.
*
I beg to differ, SIN-HKG-JFK is HKD 1380, just checked.

It used to be cheap until HKG removed ban on fuel surcharge.

Yes, I used CX from SIN>HKG on A350 instead of PEN>HKG on A330.
Thanks for the info, my destinations mainly is East Asia, is it the cause of cheaper tax?
*
unlikely, when u did ur redemption?

QUOTE(tarvalslain87 @ May 14 2019, 04:22 PM)
If I email them the redemption form for TP, how long will they process it?

If I email them last day of the month, will it still consider under the old program?

First time redeeming for KF miles xD
*
call CS is the fastest way, in minute they will process, and u will get ur KF next day. (Best case scenario)

but u first timer, will take longer day on the transfer, they will do some sort of verification.

Hi. Wanna ask.. i applied my maybank SIA KF Amex in October last year.. the expiry month on the card is May..
My question is: for the minimum spending of minimum RM60k in a year to get double miles, it is tracked from the month of approval (october) right?

Just want to double confirm.. i asked the guy at 1U card centre but he was not sure
*
Tracking = Nov 2018 to Oct 2019 (I prefer Sep)

May I know how to calculate DSR?
Based on monthly statement?
If you pay CC before statement, will this contribute to lower DSR?
*
simplest way is commitment / income

CC statement is 1 of their reference, paying promptly help, but u need to justify if your monthly spending is high.
