ah ok... can't they transfer without cancelling the card?

Anyway, For me I changed all the M2C TPs to vouchers before the last TP inflation and started fresh for M2P

High chance they won't transfer since both are diff card type benefits, but a few had success a few years back depending on luck.

Just thought of sharing this whether u have or don't have this MBB cards yet. Maybe this can give u some information and would be interesting to know if this is the same for u.

Personally, I use Maybank 2 Cards Premier the most and yet my credit limit is not the highest as compared to other cards I hold. I think Maybank is very stingy (careful) with the credit limits!

1. I got my cards 2 years ago when I declare an income of slightly over RM120k (the eligibility requirement). Credit limit was given at RM40k then. Before that, I have been using the Maybank 2 Platinum Card since 2011 and it has always been at RM30k but then I never submitted any request for more limit.

2. Last year, I declared less than RM120k income, but when I request for a permanent credit limit, I was given an additional RM10k limit to RM50k.

3. This year, still declaring nothing more than RM120k, I am given yet another RM10k as well to a total of RM60 limit.

What is your experience with permanent credit limit request with Maybank?

Happened so that this is tied with this 2 cards but for comparison, my basic Citibank Clear card which I use only 3 or 4 times a month just to buy Coffee Beans - buy 1 free 1 has double the limit of Maybank. And I thought "Visa Infinite" card and all would be easier on the credit limits.

I just received the cards and a gift as well. It's a wallet-like case but the size is quite big (like a diary). Aside from that, I need to spend 1k and will get a luggage bag.

I don't think if I'll use these cards often. Prefer the m2c with cashback for weekend spending.

Btw, for the fee waiver... the annual spend needs to exceed RM80000. This RM80k refers to the combined spend of both visa and amex reserve, correct?

It was from a booth but by mbb staff (not agent). During the application, I received two tgv movie passes and 3 popcorn & drink vouchers.

The "wallet" gift came without any condition. Even my supplemantary card holder got the same gift. Now I just need to spend 1k to get the luggage bag.

What kind of wallet is it? And is it some cheap generic luggage bag?

To keep your cards and passport. It's the size of an organizer without the binders/pages. But not so practical due to its size.

I don't know the luggage bag brand. But I don't expect it to be high quality.

Well, recently I just got my Maybank 2 Cards Premier. I applied 2 Platinum cards in April and given 15k credit limit. June, i write in an email to pledge 80k FD for the 2 cards premier and they approved and topped the credit limit to 95k.

And yes, i got the travel wallet too, mailing together with the 2 cards to my house. Quite nice actually haha! rclxms.gif

Credit limits are useful for protection. Shouldn't set too high. Even MBB initially offered 50k limit but I told them to reduce to 20k as my pattern of spending is between 9-11k per month. So I think setting the limit to double that should be just nice for any sudden urges to splash/emergency spendings.

For big purchases, just plan ahead of time. I would call the bank to temporarily increase my limit beforehand.

I think it's safer if any hacks or identity theft occurs, your max risk is only 20k. Can never be too careful these days.

80k per annum usage to waive the annual fee. Anyone got waiver without fulfilling this criteria?

Never heard of any so far. Maybank is very strict on this criteria.
