madstone,
nod.gif  Not gonna start a debate as to how banks look into credit ratings of their customers.  Besides, as much as I use these 'plastics', its only on the very few ocassions I totally max out my Credit Limit! *gulp*
*
NO need to debate tink smile.gif
it's actually depends on bank, different bank different terms n conditions
of course Citibank's different & Maybank's different smile.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I use Maybank credit card
2 years back, I bought Ibook with added merchant charge, if not mistaken about 3% of the total purchase price.

Recently bought Core2Duo Imac 20", this time around without merchant charge.

Both purchase, I use 12 months pay installment.

lee1966,

MacAsia doesn't charge additional 'merchant charges' so it's basically the processing fees that needs to be paid for.

Yes, that what I tried to refer to, "processing fee".

BTW, I bought both Ibook and Imac at CG in Penang and not at MacAsia.

I went to MACSTUDIO the other day, so they are saying to me, I can get my MACHINES for monthly installment bank by CITIBANK. I was delighted somehow. However, I still need to pay a processing fee of 3%.

But, the thing is they do not have ex stock. I even ask my supplier bout it. They say they are out of stock now. I wonder sometimes, are APPLES really that HOT selling??

Then my friend told me that out of 1000 ppl in Malaysia, only 1 person use apple. And in college , only 1 out of 5000 students uses a MAC. I do not know about the fact. Still, I am going to get a MAC no matter what. This time maybe from my supplier.

macball,
Keep us updated then. In the meantime just use whatever u have. As to ur CC application - well, the banks don't normally tell you why you'd been rejected... *gulps*

goldfries,
I ain't comparing the prices so I've no idea if it's cheap or expensive. If i'm gonna give a personal recommendation I'll make sure I go through the specs. All I can say for now is I rather be getting the White MB than the Black one. The difference in price is just not worth it, for the specs given.... And besides, wouldn't a MB look better in White than Black?! kEKekeekke rclxms.gif
