*
bro, please ready your voice recording when maxis calling you and offer you their so called counter offer package. let the world know that are they doing. Of coz it's being 2 3 weeks already, i am sure they have order from the top to stop doing it. But see if you hit the gold and get call from them or not.

I was thinknig ofr First blue, but since I am already with Basic38, i have my eyes on the 28 umobile package
*
i am not trying to selling celcom but i have reason you should stick with basic 38. for

1) better coverage
2) Unused data can carried forward, mine now is max 6gb per month instead of 3 gb

with extra 10, you can't get urself a nice good meal in KL but in celcom you can get what i mentioned above.

ok, finally manage to get the CS after 13min of waiting, contract until sept... 5 more months to go, penalty will be 500++

i believe telco price war will happen every quarter de....
*
you can do a little calculation on your own

1) how much you paying per month
2) what's the plan you intended to port in.

2) - 1) x 5 = how many extra you save over the five months can cover the 500 or not? if can cover then u can port out already no need to wait since you going to pay the same total amount of money in the next five months. At least with new telco, you can be a happy person, rather than disgruntled user that cant wait to be ported out in 5 months time.

Perhaps their management still have not approved any new plans.

Maxis as always, slow to react to competition nowadays. They are either arrogant or too much redtape to get things going fast enough. They will hardly survive with this kind of pace.

Come to think of it, recently many people are paying the penalty to terminate contract and port out. Could it be that Maxis is using this opportunity to collect as much penalty fee as possible and probably launch their revised plans few months later?

From what I see, many people who want to port out are actually happy with Maxis' network quality but just frustrated with the pricing and all especially with the recent bad press against them. When they have better plans, I can still foresee people porting back to Maxis.
*
Yes, they are getting short term gains now, But will lost the long term gain, forever. Those have ported out will never trusted Maxis again. In business, always aim for long term, need to take care of your customers/clients where Maxis shortsighted on this.

don simply port yaa....port only if u need that xtra GB of data at lower cost. if ppl simply port just to "want" tat xtra GB or just simply fed up with maxis, next u will have other Telcos getting congested and slow and all that and u will start to scream again
*
nowadays, all telco offer no contract on their plans, it's become flexible for us to switch to any telco that offer the best package.

True, but may not always be the case. Those who have ported to D/U/C and suddenly realize the network is far inferior and if maxis comes back with a good counter offer, they may just swallow their pride and come back. In the end, maxis loses nothing. Of course, those who felt betrayed by the brand will never come back, so it depends on the consumer in the end. After all, we vote with our wallets.
*
There is not such thing "swallow their pride" on returning. It's our choice to use whichever package that serve us better. With no contract on package era, we are free men now. Telco must up and maintain their service while keep competing with each other. We are the winners.

I believe all those 68, 78, or whatever it is. It's just the current 128, 158 and 188 plan with so called "special loyalty rebate". for those who have taken up the special deal, kindly check your bill, you will see you still on ur current package just got a special discount at the list to make it look like 68, 78. Meaning this deal can be reversible.

Agree, we are the winners. Especially next week when some fella comes and offer 20GB for RM10...

If this one is true, i will buy 2 for me and my wife to maintain internet connect in KL area. I notice all new company will focus on klang valley first. and another reason i grab it is i think this one will be temp offer as promotion at introduction price, it will raise after promotion period is over. Like Celcom first 38 which i also got 2.

i shared the bill here, but someone removed it already.

they will charge u the original price of the plan, then offset it with discount amount.

orh, it did as i suspected. LOL typical maxis. I think it's hard for them to change their billing system structure over the night. need to change a lot of coding and also GST structure if they were to introduce the new package.

Just want ask. If want change line to Celcom. All supp line will changed as well?
and still remain under my number or not in Celcom?
*
if you port all the main and sub line over to the same telco, it's doable. and all numbers will be retained.
