QUOTE(Fighteden @ Apr 2 2016, 01:44 AM) I was offered 7GB for RM118 3 days ago, i was on Surfmore RM75. They say the offer is based on our current usage and and tenureship along with payment records. For those who did not get this offer, i suggest you to enable auto-debit payment for your account and i am sure you will get a call from them, provided you are with Maxis for over 2 years. 118 for 7gb? Who in the right mind will accept the offer anyway, you can easily get that 7gb data from other telco at much cheaper rate.

QUOTE(Edwina Bear @ Apr 3 2016, 06:26 PM) Hi - that is a fair question. I know the Maxis team has been trying to get in touch with Jackson5759 to clarify on the offers he and his friend received because they were (shall we say) highly unusual but so far he has not responded. That said, I think they are asking people with concerns to contact them at http://bit.ly/AskMyMaxis. P.S Full disclosure: I work for Maxis and have colleagues in the Customer Response Team Now that Maxis start denying such offer had been given out. Knew this day will come thats why I never accepted the offer.

QUOTE(Edwina Bear @ Apr 3 2016, 06:50 PM) Also a fair question. Let me see if I can explain: when you leave a bank, have they ever offered you to waive certain fees or offer certain benefits? Some would say yes, but not all. It is the same with Telcos, all big companies have CRM and data that they use to make and then offer customised offers to either get you to upgrade, switch family members or friends to the same service or retain you if you are leaving. Is this fair? Some will say yes, others will say no. I will leave you to decide. As for the East M'sia offer, from what I hear it's a limited promo launched in conjunction with the new network launch that happened last week. For a long time, the 4G network was mostly enjoyed by people in Pen M'sia. Now it's their turn la. Sulin, will you or your company clarify on the mess?

For those who want to terminate your mobile contract, u can actually request through http://bit.ly/AskMyMaxis. Just request for call back and provide them the necessary details they can terminate on the spot for u. Save the hassle going to their centre for long queue!!
