QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ Apr 23 2016, 10:59 PM) I don't think so....because Jackson also stated that his friend cannot use the additional east Malaysia 4 gb data in west Malaysia and she will be bar because using that line in west Malaysia. so the free midnight until morning data I think also can be use only in east Malaysia. About this 4GB additional data... Since yesterday it's now categorized together as 5GB total. Before that it was listed separately as 4GB + 1GB. So I believe there is no more such issue as the additional 4GB data is not usable in the Peninsular Malaysia. |

QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ Apr 23 2016, 11:16 PM) maxis try to prevent people from west Malaysia getting advantage of cheap and free data from east Malaysia. Off-topic a bit... but people residing in East Malaysia have been paying for more expensive KFC, McDonalds, newspaper, cars and a whole lot of other stuff due to cabotage policy since like forever... Anyway, about 3 weeks ago when I converted a SurfMore 50 plan to Hotlink at Maxis The Gardens branch, the Maxis agent asked if I'd like to sign up for MaxisOne Plan 98 for only RM68/month. The only catch is I'll have to buy my own ticket and fly over to East Malaysia and sign up for the promo plan at the Maxis centre there This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Apr 23 2016, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(jackson5759 @ Mar 9 2016, 10:18 PM) My friend just pm me telling her story with Maxis 68 plan for east Malaysian I wish to clarify that those on Maxis Sabah/Sarawak MOP68 now have a true 5GB data since 22nd April 2016 and the whole 5GB quota can be used anywhere in Malaysia. The unlimited off peak data (1am - 7am) however, can only be used in East Malaysia. She subscribed maxis promo plan for Sabah and Sarawak the other day, and ported out in less than a week. The 5gb data is actually a 1+4 where that 4gb cannot be used in west msia (which they nvr mention to her at the first place). And maxis told her they gonna bar her number cause she is using that plan in kl. She subscribed this during she pay a visit back to her hometown at east Malaysia that day. So please TAKE NOTE ON THIS! |

Maxis is giving you a rebate up to RM500 if you can get your friends or family to port in to Maxis from other telcos.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Apr 30 2016, 07:27 PM) No idea but it's a new move by Maxis. I saw the leaflet about this RM500 rebate at Maxis The Gardens just yesterday.QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Apr 30 2016, 07:30 PM) where to find this info? like that means if one is able to register in S&S, then can use 5gb and unlimited calls/sms in the west for rm68? You can check www.maxis.com.my/op. Then click the East Malaysia promotion. You need a valid East Malaysia billing address in order to sign up for this special Sabah and Sarawak MOP. And yes, registration can only be done at Maxis Centre in Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak.By the way, there is no mention that the Sabah/Sarawak MOP68 unlimited off peak data can only be used in East Malaysia on Maxis website. It is found out through my own experience and I had also clarified this with Maxis yesterday. And just so you know, Maxis isn't the only one having such promotion for its MOP in East Malaysia. DiGi has a similar offer now in Sabah and Sarawak too. DiGi is offering its DiGi Smart Plan 68 in East Malaysia with 2GB extra data with unlimited call. The standard DiGi Smart Plan comes with only 3GB data but the East Malaysia promo package comes with 5GB data, similar to Maxis Sabah/Sarawak MOP68. QUOTE(pokemon01234 @ Apr 30 2016, 08:11 PM) The rebate is only valid if your friends or family sign up for MaxisONE Plan? Does it valid for other plan like SurfMore or MaxisGO too? I didn't read the whole T&C so I don't really know. I only remember reading something about a rebate of RM100 per line to your month bill. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Apr 30 2016, 08:38 PM |

QUOTE(emino @ May 3 2016, 04:17 PM) Really ? I changed the data limit for two supplementary lines to no limit a few days ago and Maxis sent a message to the principal line that the data for both the supplementary lines have been disabled. |

I just tried to change the data limit again for the supplementary lines and you are right, both supplementary lines still have internet access after I set the limit to no limit

QUOTE(sweatniggazz @ May 4 2016, 05:04 PM) Overall i think Digi win in this new plan with their cheaper principle line & flexibility to choose what's the total data pool the user'd like.. if u need more data, just top up only.. Maxis fixed everything.. It all boils down to each individual needs. To some, the ala cart option offered by DiGi is more attractive. But to some, the package offered by Maxis gives better value.Let's compare the cheapest MaxisOne Plan that is eligible for data pool (MOP 98) and DiGi Smart Plan 78. The standard MOP 98 comes with 5GB of data while DiGi Smart Plan 78 comes with 7GB of data and both plans offer unlimited calls. MaxisOne Plan 98 with data pool (RM98 + RM48 = RM146/month) - 5GB + 5GB DiGi Smart Plan 78 with internet sharing (RM78 + RM10 for Internet sharing + RM38 = RM126/month) - 7GB By paying RM20 more (for Maxis MOP 98 with 1 supplementary line, you get 3GB of extra data). To some this plan provides better value. But to those who don't need so much data, the DiGi one will certainly appeal better to them. |

Well, Maxis did shake up the market by introducing unlimited calls and SMS bundled with data for only RM128 more than 2 years ago. Have they not done this, we won't be seeing so many affordable postpaid plans on the market now. Normally it's DiGi doing this sort of thing but the formerly DiGi CEO surprised everyone with this MaxisOne Plan as soon as he becomes the CEO of Maxis. So this Maxis CEO isn't really all that bad you know... It's just that Maxis is slow to adapt to the fast changing market. But at least they are still way ahead of Celcom

QUOTE(attw @ May 7 2016, 12:42 PM) Actually you have to give credit where credit is due, they were the first Telco to come up with unlimited Calls/SMS to all networks and the first telco to come up with Zerolution. Exactly. Other telcos won't have unlimited call plans at affordable price have Maxis not introduced the MaxisONE plan 2 1/2 years ago when Lundal just assumed the role of Maxis CEO.Just their pricing... Haha Quite a few features of MaxisONE plan have changed since it was first introduced. Initially MOP98 only offered unlimited calls and texts to Maxis numbers. To get unlimited calls and texts to all networks, you had to go for MOP128. Anyway, I'm still hoping Maxis will revamp their MaxisONE plan again because the current offer is still not good enough and MOP is still the most expensive postpaid plan out there. Maxis should consider upgrading MOP98 data further to something like DiGi Smart Plan 80 (7GB + 3GB) and continue to offer unlimited calls and texts to all networks (DiGi Smart Plan 80 doesn't come with unlimited SMS). |

QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ May 7 2016, 07:13 PM) yeah maxis should revise MOP98 to MOP78...yeah their ARP will decrease abit but look at how many will port in if they reduce the price. I don't expect them to reduce the price, frankly speaking because if the past is any indication, Maxis postpaid plans will always be more expensive than other telcos. I only hope they will at least match MaxisONE Plan 98 offerings to DiGi Smart Plan 80, but continue to offer unlimited SMS as it does now because DiGi Smart Plan 80 doesn't come with unlimited SMS.QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ May 7 2016, 07:13 PM) Actually if you see all the Maxis Centres around Klang Valley, there are a lot of customers these days and recent data also suggests many of those who ported out to Celcom have either come back or are coming back due to Celcom not so wide 4G network. Besides, you can see many people complaining about Celcom internet service recently as their current infrastructure is unable to cope with the sudden huge surge of Celcom subscribers. |

QUOTE(yhtan @ May 8 2016, 05:24 PM) still hoping them to revamp after MOP new announcement? As long as they improve their MaxisONE plan offerings I don't mind to wait. After all I'm using Maxis Sabah/Sarawak MOP68 now while my mom is using MaxisONE Share under my dad's MOP128. And I also have another number under MaxisONE Share using my dad's MOP128. I have no real complain for the time being but continue to hope for better and improved plans from all telcos.U should know Maxis intention is to maintain high ARPU while giving u lowest data among all If u are hoping to get 7gb data with MOP98, i think u can wait for next year This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: May 8 2016, 06:41 PM |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ May 10 2016, 12:36 PM) 98+48 = 146 / 2 = 73.00/persons If the principal line user doesn't want to subsidize his/her supplementary line then i suppose you can say it this way. In my case, my dad is on MOP128. My mom is using one supplementary line under his account while i'm using another. So two supplementary lines in total. Provided there is no other charge such as SMS sent to premium numbers or overseas calls/SMS, me and my mom will each transfer only RM50.88 to his bank account every month.128+48+48 = 224 / 3 = 74.66/persons 158+48+48+48 = 302 / 4 = 75.50/persons 188+48+48+48+48 = 380 / 5 = 76.00/persons Is this how the Data Pool Line work for Maxis? |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ May 10 2016, 02:12 PM) That is what many people are doing now. Their DataPool proves to be a hit and some customers are coming back. Go to any Maxis Centres in those big shopping malls like KLCC, The Gardens etc. There are always so many people. |
