Design it myself would be too problematic for me. That PCB doesn't has detachable USB so that's a turn off unless there's a kit to make it detachable? If nothing else comes out I'll just settle with that PCB i guess.
*
I think there are detachable cable mod on taobao though, i saw one before, but I'm not sure whether it will fit the keycool pcb as it is for filco one sad.gif

A Korean Topre clone on eBay
*
I wonder does the switches use the same clone as rk and plum?
They seem to be almost the same in terms of the slider...
If they are the same, no point spending such a money to buy a clone when you can buy a authentic topre board edy...

Hi Guy,

I would like to get a recommendation on mechanical keyboard for typing no need to be fancy (RGB, customize key or etc). Just need a value for money mechanical keyboard if possible wireless.

It is better if you can list out the layout you prefer to narrow down the choices.

hey guys, have any of u guys purchased anything from mechanicalkeyboards.com.?
planning to buy a keyboard from them, but not sure how reliable. and also, is it possible to swap switches, for example, from kailhs to cherry mx.?
*
I think the shipping fee is a let down although they offer many keyboards choice smile.gif
Yup, you are able to change them as long you buy the right switch type for them (e.g. plate mounted or pcb mounted)

Do u have any recommendations where should i get my mkb?
Looking for 60% wireless mkb. Was looking at minila air, but the lacking of led and the case design was abit of a let down.
*
60%, Led, wireless.
You can get anne pro which is rgb and bluetooth from taobao for around rm250 smile.gif
But they only offer blue and red gateron switches though.

Thinking of ordering Unicomp Ultra Classic from their own website knowing they do international shipping too... but thinking twice after seeing the shipping cost is almost costing the same amount as the keyboard.
*
If you dont mind grabbing an old ibm model m
I recommend that you to go to taobao to find some.
Some of them are in great condition and doesnt cost much smile.gif

Can anybody translate to me why the price different is huge below:

https://world.tmall.com/item/41135493843.ht...uId=63790050309
RMB 279

https://world.taobao.com/item/534233946832....0.Eubbx8#detail
RMB 554

I choose the same switch (noppo black)
*
Hmm, I'm not sure why the price difference.
But there are trading history for the item on the first one but none on the second one
So I think the first one is more legit?
You can try to see their comment on the item too.

*edit: The first one is noppoo themselves selling it, so rest assured smile.gif

Hi guys. So I followed the advice that you guys gave to me and currently own a red and blue switch keyboards. Out of the two, I am preferring the red switch. Although it seems I make a lot more misspellings, I feel more comfortable with the reds.

My new questions is, should I be looking for other switches to try out? Or am I red switch type of guy?
*
Me myself started with red like you and at first I hate it bcoz my wpm drop from 120 to like 80...
And I put it back into the box and bought myself a brown and blue switch keyboards.

Out of the two, blue is nvr the great choice but i love brown at first. But as I keep using it, I got bored of it and went back to red and found out I really love them.

And finally I decided to get a topre 45g and they are great! But IMO red is also great especially gateron red.
You can try out mx clear and some gateron switches if you like linear swithces.

Is there anyone who joined the Topre PBT spacebar drop who's willing to sell one spacebar to me? I only want the light gray though.

Stupid Maybank blocking my transactions. As if blocking the initial transaction wasn't enough.

I think they are same as the one that is sold on taobao.
Maybe you can go purchase one from taobao.

Try mailto:zhh22@zhihaihe.cn

FYI, VB87M base prices are USD137 with MX and USD116 with Gateron. Add USD17 for shipping to KL via DHL.

Is it miya?
If it is, then I'm afraid that he stopped working at varmilo and thus no online ordering anymore according to a post on geekhack cry.gif cry.gif

Just got myself a gateron yellow board.
Has been using HHKB for a few months, changing back to using mx switches feel wrong.
Doesn't feel high quality as HHKB does....

BUT there's one thing that I need to say, GATERON is much more smoother than their cherry counterparts.

what price range do you consider cheap? those one-piece case which you just assemble the PCB (with an optional plate) and then screw it on to the case like this are around the range of RM 200...

while those two-piece case (eg: KMAC Happy, Duck Eagle, X60) are around the range of USD 400...
there are a few versions of 60% PCB on taobao, the GH60 (and its variations) and the B.fake PCB are all programmable. the one sold by 酷品 which are RGB per switch are not programmable though.
*
Hmm, under 500 would be reasonable to me...
Is there any other 2 piece case other than those crazy hell expensive custom 60%?
