Check some cm nova touch review, the keycaps seems terrible. Is it worth it compare to you just get realforce and stay with the stock cap?

QUOTE(richard912 @ Sep 21 2016, 01:43 PM) The advantage of the Novatouch lies in the fact that it can take MX compatible keycaps. This means, you can switch keycaps to your heart's content, which unfortunately cannot be said of a Realforce. MX keycaps come in a variety of design and colors and are easier to procure either from shops or online. Yeah, agree with all your points. The hesitation is on the casing. Seems like it still have some coating will ends up shiny and look greasy. Somehow nova touch price tag is not even as friendly as other cherry board. The first thing one should do when getting a Novatouch is to replace those stock keycaps (thin ABS) with thicker ones like PBT. Do keep in mind too that the cost of a Realforce can be Really painful to one's wallet too. |

QUOTE(skincladalien @ Sep 23 2016, 02:07 PM) Had a try on Filco minila and kinda like it except the left fn key gets in the way when i type. Pok3r is awesome. Decent keycaps and great metal casing.anyone know a similar size and priced keyboard? edit: dam, i just notice after research that the fn key can be set to space via a dip switch. now i kinda regret didnt buy lol |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Sep 26 2016, 08:11 PM) When you think of Filco did not update their products.. I don't deny filco do keep up with what they did well and being very promising consistently to their customer. But being fast pace definitely is a plus point as long as they able to maintain their QCActually they have filco with removable cables. And they have LED last time, but still they back to the foundation of keyboard at the end of the day. You looking for fast paced products like Ducky. Ducky has many variations of Ducky One (no LED, basic LED), and Ducky Shine. And every year, they update new product line, so what happens to the old Ducky? Price dropping fast. Btw, I still like old Ducky. |

QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Sep 27 2016, 12:13 AM) got the blank print thick PBT from bro quovadis Yeah definitely. And it is addictive, every board you invest in the future will need extra cash to top up for the thick pbt.using it on my First gen Poker with Ghetto MX Greens (MX Blue stems + MX Black springs) My first set of custom caps... I absolutely love the feel of PBTs but oh god, thick PBTs is something else. No wonder there's love for thick PBTs. [attachmentid=7617616] |

QUOTE(hareezsyahmi @ Sep 27 2016, 01:55 AM) Guys guys, Are you a touch typist? Do you need or prefer keycaps with legend?can give me some suggestions about keycap set... currently looking to change my taihao pbt set as they felt lame and not as what i had expected. Looking for a keyset which is -thick pbt -cherry profile -ofcourse non backlit help me sifus :3 I personally like plain blank thick pbt. Low profile ( referring to user, not keycaps) - dark grey, beige, graphite color kinda cool More cheerful, fun - bright color or mix color, many photo you can refer by googling. Going dyesub or stealthy laser etched, is matter of preference and budget. Usually dyesub thick pbt cost about a mkb d |

QUOTE(davey.havok @ Sep 27 2016, 04:24 AM) If you're not willing to spring the US$70-80 for EnjoyPBT aka Gateron, you don't have many choices left. Yeah, I dislike pok3r stock cap as well. It feel slightly slippery to me, prefer sandier caps. This set is roughly ~RM160, it's what comes stock on the Pok3r and it's quite thick but many people seem to dislike it. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Sep 27 2016, 01:24 PM) That's kinda niche marketing, don't think reseller want that. When I walk around Lowyat plaza, there are still many newbie to mkb got excited by those junky yet pricey shit |

QUOTE(justnits @ Sep 28 2016, 06:01 PM) damn dadudeneverabides, still the same before you submarine. There are some sticky cleaning gel like available in market and very good for cleaning mechanical keyboard. PS: ONLY use it for plasticky surface, do not try it on any surface with rubber like coating, it will fuck up the coating.eoma, usage tips use like normal. but if you are like me, oily skin problem, u might want to consider washing your hand with soap regularly or have a hand sanitizer next to you instead of lotion (if you know what i mean reason for this is, the oil in our skin will cause the keycaps to "shine" faster. unless your keycaps is made from PBT material where it's nearly unshine-able from regular normal usage. also cleaning, like dadude says, the easiest and convenient way is to use polident, don't steal from your gramps, buy from pharmacy or tesco. some greasier stain might need you to manually clean them with clothe, preferably microfibre. pls treat your keycaps like they are delicate things. what to expect? expect your wallet to get rip after you get addicted to changing keycaps or addicted to getting more keyboards just because you are curious about how black, blue, red, brown, white, indigo, pink, unicorn feels like. o-rings, personally i say nay. the bottoming/clicky sound is music to my ears. whoever doesn't like that will have to get ear plugs instead, or have their eardrums removed simply because they don't know how to appreciate beauty sound. nah just kidding. the only annoying keys are clicky blue, if your colleagues or housemate or family really cannot tahan, then you can do them a favour by putting on the rubber orings. if you learn how to control your bottoming power, it shouldn't be a problem. alternatively a better thing would be non-slip mat mod, but that requires voiding your keyboard's warranty and it wouldn't reduce the sound more effectively than o-ring. Thanks for warning, I haven't any first hand experience on o-ring, been considering to get some. Anyway don't think I will like it. Keycaps - definitely is like rupturing your wallet consistently once you got addicted. So save money just go for those top notch thick PBT (dye sub if prefer with legend), then you will not bother to have other cheap (er) keycaps invested anymore. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Oct 3 2016, 10:40 PM) Yeah, it is. Doesn't seem like the standard layout. Isn't better to use Minila than lapdog? Can swap though via the switches and the extra key-caps Filco has provided. However, I will just use this for some light gaming (while I wait for my Corsair Lapdog to arrive from Amazon US). |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Oct 7 2016, 02:19 PM) lol.. Last time Ducky Zero is made in China, which is a budget Ducky. Even though mkb market is growing but its market is still considered kinda niche. Budget mkb still significantly more expensive than most of the keyboard. Majority of customer willing to pay more for a quality built instead of some budget crap. Now Ducky One budget made in Taiwan. Correct.. Last time only Ducky Shine is Taiwan. |
