Hahaha....and hence, the racun will run deep. An enthusiast will end up buying more than 1 MKB within a short time (typing this from experience whistling.gif  ). Brown or red, either is good to start with.

MX clears are mostly available on custom boards, hard to find them with the regular brands commonly available in the market. I got mine with a Varmilo VA87M directly from Varmilo.

Yup. Got my blue switch relatively fast after my red switch. Lucky i am only targeting used market, so save some money. I guess i should be on the lookout for a brown switch now although i am interested in corsair's rapidfire switch and wooting's offering. Zealios is still a bit far away from me currently. Im also hooked on the tkl layout and dont find any reason yet to change that layout.

The G910 does feel mushy and dampened. But the G310 and G810 are not so much. Read somewhere in Geekhack that Logitech actually alter it during new production of the switches.

Have not tried Topre before, the closest I've got is CM Storm key tester in store. Is it good?

I thought g810 are using cherrys? Might be wrong.

Hi guys. I am thinking of buying vortex's pbt two tones white and blue set from ultimate zone. They should fit fine with my keycool 87 right?

How do you guys solve this problem?
http://imgur.com/7ZF4pRi

The new keycaps won't have the specialty symbols that the original ones have.

So what do you guys do? Memorise the specific keys? Put stickers on the new keycaps? Ignore the specialty keys? ( I am talking about the internet, media keys)

If you want to customize your keycaps, sacrificing those multimedia function indicators is inevitable. For me, I never bother using those functions. Memorizing them also waste of brain bandwidth. More so when you have multiple keyboards.
*
Ah. Ok. Might have to do that then. Any comments on the vortex's pbt?

If you always use them, then you should be able to memorize them. If you're only using them sparingly, then just keep a short list in your phone or just snap a picture of it. hahaha...

I keep the whole list of all the short cuts(light adjustment/functions/etc.) in Google Keep so I can access them anytime (which I hardly does).

*I changed my fugly stock keycaps to Vortex PBT too. smile.gif
*
Nice! Any comments on the vortex pbt? Where did you buy yours?

With high budget below 450, get a Filco Majestouch 2. It's non-backlit, BEST in term of typing experience.

[prefer mechanic] I believed you meant mechanical. Here we only recommend MKB.

Filco is Japanese keyboard brand. It's well known best of the best for Cherry MX switches. Very solid.

FAQ about Filco:
1. Q: Filco keyboard (Cherry MX) vs XXXXXX brand (Cherry MX), which better?
    A: Filco is better.

I thought that Filco is no longer available in Malaysia? Was looking everywhere for a Filco cherry MX red

Still available in Malaysia. Inter-ASIA still is the FILCO distributor.  smile.gif

Oh. Didn't manage to find Filco tkl red switches last time so I got keycool instead. I shouldn't get another red switch keyboard right....

Anyone know which shops have the rapidfire switch on display? Want to test them out for myself.

Thanks, already ordered mine from Lazada Malaysia.

Also, ordered a Corsair K70 Lux RGB brown switch. Now just need to wait for Corsair Lapdog to arrive from America.

How is Lazada anyways? The service any good?
