What you get in high school is of little importance in my opinion. Just pursue something that is of a balance between what you love doing and what you can earn a living with (time to be realistic). From my experience foundation is in way a waste of time because it restricts what degrees you can take after (I did the same mistake, wasted 2 whole years, and my foundation), I would strongly recommend doing a 'general' pre university course i.e. A levels, SAM etc so in the care whether you want to change to some other degree while you are doing your pre university course you can do so.

There are maths in business as well, probably not much & heavy but I suggest you to "confront & overcome your fear". Maths is ultimately a very critical skill/knowledge, you can't run away from it forever.

You can't run away from maths, when you do grocery shopping, calculating fuel consumption, calculating interest rate for bank loan , figuring out whether that purchase is worth it. Nearly everything uses maths and it is one of those few things that you will use throughout your life regardless of whatever profession you join directly or indirectly.

Your dad is right sort of, communication and business has a reputation of accepting students that can't go anywhere else, so the students there are definitely not the best and the brightest.

In any case, you cannot get answer for your future anywhere but yourself and your own research.

Go take a look at youtube videos or online articles for different jobs and their 'real' tasks.

When you spotted a job that you really like to do each and everyday despite the routine tasks, then go ahead look at the qualifications required for the job.

Many people have been making the same mistakes to take a general course that they think they like, but work in an industry completely irrelevant to the course. Eg. business courses. Waste of time and money.

Hey, my advise is taking Commerce A Levels. There are various types of subjects you could choose from such as Business Studies, Economics, Law, Thinking skills, Accounting, Psychology or Mathematics. You only need to take a minimum of 3 subjects and normally maximum 4. So, you could exclude Math as a 'subject'.
It is a 'safer' route compared to Foundation. A Levels can be used to apply to private universities in Malaysia and most universities overseas(just in case you suddenly have a passion to study in a top university when you are in pre-university).
You could also consider SAM, which is an exam mostly based on assignments.

If you are having financial constraints, STPM might be your best choice.

PS: I exclude any liability for the advice given. Good Luck! biggrin.gif

1) if you result is good; take scholarship and do arts.
2) If your dad insists to take biz related course and 1) applies, persuade him.
3) if 1) doesn't apply, u can consider your family needs; are you the heir apparent/designate for your dad's business? Are you expected to be exemplified by your younger siblings? Your family socio economic background? All these are taken into consideration of your dad's insistence that arts is a waste of money.
4) Ask the lecturers, people in the arts and business industries to learn their insights.
