hi hi... been a lurker in this thread and looking forward to replace my dying xperia Z1 with the Redmi Note 3 SD650 variant. Xiaomi FB confirm it will be available in April. hopefully wishing it for 1st week of april.

I am using this bumper. Nice feels. Just be aware. The reception will be affected slightly by the metal bumper. Not major but will reduce the 4g signal

Dont think so, but there is this weird focus hunting that occurs even on the stock app from what i can see on youtube. Everytime when changing scene/ moving the camera, it focuses to infinity then back in focus. Hope they can tone it down a little. or give an option for manual focus when on video.

So by right Redmi Note 3 camera quality should be on par with S6/S6 Edge. Unless Xiaomi screw up the postprocessing like Sony. Been reading reviews that the camera on Redmi Note 3 Pro is just ok.
Xiaomi has terrible camera. Mi3, then Redmi Note 3 (non pro). Notably Mi3 also has Sony sensor. It always very soft, like out of focus. The camera app probably suck big time but more like how they actually mess up all the time. I did try the Mi Note in digi store and while it's improved, still not quite there.

thanks for the heads up but i rarely use 4G especially my work area at best is H+ reception. but as another forumer ask, i would like to know too, does it scratch the phone? and protect the back when put flat on the back?

The bumper is just for show. It dosent protect tbe back at all. It still lay flat on the back but it dose rise the front. It dosent scratch the side as it have some rubber strip to hold the phone inside the bumper.
Not only it reduce the 4g signal but ot also reduce overall reception. Overall o will drop the signal by 10-20% etc one bar on 3g, wifi, gps, gsm, 4g
Not much. But if u travel often. U will get frustrated with no signal. And also. It is not easy to get the cover out
alright, thanks for the info. Ordered it already, expected delivery is 2-3 weeks from now. the case looks really sturdy enough to protect the phone from drops and fall. hopefully it arrived before the phone does.
will give a review once the phone launched here and with the casing hahaha...
