Turtle wax sns or meguairs hybrid ceramic wax better?
Prefer spray wax for ease

Both also good

My GM-Tech had 2 or 3 years of warranty, but it's already past that now since I got my car July 2018 cry.gif

I want my car to be shiny again, but my main dilemma now is whether want to self-wax every 3 months or just do coating and go back for maintenance every 6-12 months. Really want to try DIY waxing to learn how to take care of my car but not quite sure I'll have the discipline to see it through rolleyes.gif
*
Can DIY if your coating is confirmed gone. Not that difficult unless you are targeting show car gloss πŸ˜…

Anyway below is my ride with $50 cheap ceramic glass coating (AliExpress) topped with Cerakote Graphene every quarterly... Am happy with the gloss and hydrophobic performance so far almost a year.

Hi Sifus, how to get rid of the ugly watermarks? I've tried the vinegar/toothpaste thing but failed. What products can be used to remove? Will the Soft 99 cleaner work?

Thanks!!

I'd lightly polish it using DA if it were me

Hi Guyz,

Anyone test IGL Premier comparing Cerakote Spray Graphene ?

Higher Gloss or Improve Cleaning Experience ?

Have been using SNS and Fusso Speed but
SNS - Last longer but those dirt also hard to remove
Fusso Speed Spray - Dont last like 1 wash need to top up again
Cleaning interval like 2-3 week per wash ..

DIY ceramic coat plus Cerakote Graphene as maintenance no dirt almost a year..

I've personally used their Luminous Coat spray which is no impressive. I'd recommend Cerakote Graphene spray instead though

Sorry this might already been asked in the past but wanted to ask anyway....what's the best method to maintain post-ceramic coating cars?

Advice from coating boss is that wash once a week (any car wash) would do. But since i park outdoors during work hours, noticed water marks appearing even after washing weekly. sad.gif

You may use water spot cleaner from Carpro Spotless, IGL Delete and mthly diy maintenance use TW Seal n Shine, Cerakote Graphene which are spray type that's very easy to use. Google them on how to apply

Well back then I wasn’t so well versed with coating and it’s care. I was thinking it would be good for 5 years or so if I kept the surface cleaned regularly.
So that’s why I’m also trying to figure out if it is the case that it doesn’t last as long as that and it needs regular maintenance. And which coating is good to go for.
*
Besides cleaning washing the car regularly, do you do any other periodic maintenance? If yes like what?

QUOTE(celciuz @ May 14 2022, 10:31 AM)
3 years durability is plenty goodΒ  thumbup.gif

When you mentioned durability, is it without periodic maintenance or with?

This is DIY with cheap ceramic glass coating (1 yrs+) but with maintenance. Maintenance in my definition is 3-4 mths, cleaning the water spots or mark then complete with ceramic or graphene LSP products. This resulted in smooth slick and glossy surface. Hence I'm not sure if my cheap coating is holding up...πŸ˜‚

Any brands or models that you would recommend?

If beginner maybe try Okatz which I've been using for the last 3 yrs...πŸ˜‚

Importantly it's the technic, pads etc and user especially. No point buying expensive but ends up user problem

Anyone install a fire extinguisher in your car? If yes, which one do you get and where do you install it at?

I'm driving a Honda city GM6 and planning to use it for grab, which requires a fire extinguisher in the car. However not sure where to install the extinguisher at. I see online that most people install under front passenger seat, but not sure about installation process

Been seeing positive reviews for Carpro products, and wanted to give them a try and can dilute yourself for rinseless wash or quick detailing spray.
Also the only Carpro product that I can afford  tongue.gif

Towel - looking at Carpro as well but my wallet says no. Also trying to find alternative from Taobao or maybe 600 GSM Twisted Loop MF towel for a test.
