A friend of mine asked me if I were to do full detailing work on his SUV (VW Tiguan, CX5), how much would I charge? - Car wash (Gold Class) - Interior (Meguiars) - Wheel shine (TW) - Ceramic Wax Coat (TW) I don't want to undercharge but also dowan to slaughter....need some feedback before I double bucket myself into this haha.. Thanks! |

QUOTE(pikafaded @ Nov 14 2020, 01:02 PM) Hi, my car's windscreen always have watermark everything I swipe it with the wiper. Does using product like soft99 glaco helps? Or there is other way to do it? It happens to my rear windscreen as well, the old watermark always make the visibility worse. search my posts by user here... I gave tips on cleaning glassthen "protect" with rainx or glaco |

QUOTE(dadurtyz @ Nov 15 2020, 02:23 PM) I know cheap product u can use is waxco, but that's just repealed the water and need re applied every month. wax also attracts dust... QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 16 2020, 08:10 AM) I would stick with Soft99 Ultra Glaco for glass, it’s proven and nice price (though pricier than rain x). glaco is best but like you said expensive... double the price, half the volume... heheheWhile the cap design is nice... hard to coat up to the edges 😅 turtlewax has similar to rainx, probable give this a try since i'm running out of rainx soon |

QUOTE(dadurtyz @ Nov 16 2020, 10:51 AM) Waxco is the brand, im not referring to wax. They have similiar range like rain-x but cheaper. ah...this rain act i try long time before not so good...» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For me, im using Carpro clarify glass cleaner, and Flyby30. Then coat with Meguiars synthetic express wax. So far, the glass can maintain clean longer and easier to wipe when there are stains |

QUOTE(RigerZ @ Nov 22 2020, 03:11 PM) Hi everyone, I'm back with another issue. car window rubber slanting to the front...on the rear door, more dirty water from the window flows forward, drips down and deposit oil stains there...front door has less water dripping and less staining... less stain layer easier to wipe off... more layers hard to wipeSince my car is red, it is prone to obvious black water stains. However, the stains on one of the doors would get stuck quickly (after about 2 weeks) and cannot be wiped off with a damp cloth. Whereas other stains on the car can be still be wiped off fairly easily. I've also put wax on these stain-prone areas (Waxco 911) but I'm puzzled why the stains are stuck on just one door. Any ideas? P.S. please ignore the wax stains all the black streaks/stains is where water collect and flow down the most... wax, polymers 7 bare paint will attract stain the most, coating the least... y'all find most of these stains below the side mirrors, door handles, petrol flap, etc... bossman pressure washer... bought for house use
![]() got this because "quiet" induction motor don't have the loud universal motor whine...and no carbon brush to worry about I've run it continuously 1-2 hrs no issue... 5m hose slightly short for big car... I like the compact size... pressure is strong enough short gun don't have connectors/adapters to any foam cannons on the market...this is deal breaker for many... I knew this going in so no issue for me... anyways can always buy a different gun that takes foam cannons |

QUOTE(mcchin @ Dec 11 2020, 05:35 PM) Sigh can seem to get motivated to wash car if can't do 1 car... do half car...or a few panels...Mainly it's the rainy season at afternoon Thought getting stuff like brushes, spray wax, would pep up the mood, to try out those received stuff But ... Sigh... Thinking about washing, no power wash , drying, claying, hand polish (with only cleaner wax) then IPA wipe, then quick wash again, then turtle's s&s .... Seems like an insurmountable task for a Saturday All the while hoping it won't rain after I am halfway through |

QUOTE(dijon @ Dec 6 2020, 05:51 PM) I heard this is an effective product + lasting where some overseas reviews apply on their expensive boats too! super long lasting... but no reason to buy it nowadays... It seems it can be applied on windscreen too: NU Finish on car windscreen by Scotty Kilmer Do keep us posted on your result after using NU Finish on your car. |
