QUOTE(garrick86 @ Aug 29 2017, 11:40 AM) With normal Bosch polish pad on modded Black & Decker entry polisher only, you can try ultimate polish but the compound saves time and gives instant result as mine are those super etched water marks that were there for few years. Seen like ur windshield condition is really bad Those high ph acid/alkaline chemical for watermark removal doesnt even work. QUOTE(newbiz2008 @ Aug 29 2017, 01:18 PM) Bro appreciate you can help on my question. Previously im using soft99 glass cleaner to polish, it work for me as my car is new car , not sure those heavy water mark and stain will work or not, maybe u can try autoglym as gfwong mention that it work better than any other product in marketYou use which product to clean and polish the windscreen? Can use hand only to polish? My windscreen still have other brand coating leftover how to remove? This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Aug 30 2017, 12:21 AM |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 30 2017, 08:18 AM) Tried the glass refresh on my 2014 car, need do several pass and still not completely clean. Damn tired with using hand I feel it more effective to polish with dry glass, mean must drying the glass only clean it , yes habd very sour and tired ,invest a machine will help ur job done faster , easily and more effectiveQUOTE(gfwong @ Aug 30 2017, 08:35 AM) AG not really that great but does the job decently. I've tried to Soft99 glass refresh and I am quite impressed. It's able to remove most watermarks by hand. As what @blurcase mentioned, glass polish with cerium oxide might be better. How about trying Ceriglass from CarPro? Yup, the soft99 glass refresh really not bad for the price, now detailing wanna find cheap, nice and great |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 10 2017, 10:02 AM) I was googling around, this few models always popping up is the Rupes Mini, GG3 and Flex PE08. Haven't come across the Shinemate and think would be good to look at that instead since those brands that always appear are the expensive originals haha... Shinemate only have 1 model of 3mm DA , u can contact this guys and he will send u whole range and price , he can ship to any place within malaysia hehe , so far the machin work very wellMay I know which model is it? And got it locally or ordered from online? Sigh, I was trying to polish using the Osren DAP8... can't get the edges or the bumper ._. too big already, so thinking to grab a smaller DA/Rotary. QUOTE(blurcase @ Feb 17 2018, 08:56 PM) Car looking great! Actually if just small spot and seems annoying to u, then just just put a drop of polish on microfiber towel and polish the spot off. Else can collect more then one time do all. QUOTE(slk @ Feb 17 2018, 10:22 PM) looking guudd... those dots are maybe tar spots. Thank both sifu , u two really teach me alot !!! Always keep in my mind what both of u guide me , that the reason the good stil look great hehewhy not give it a AIO. You will be surprised on how much dirt/grime has accumulated even when you wash frequently. I wanna collect more scratch and dot , next year polish whole car , because i thinking polish every 6 month seen overkill with machine , sifu blurcase i do use tiny dot of polish and mf, but some of spot become more clean and some spot look more dirt zzzzz, end up i just forgot about it and continue to wax whole car Slk , i dont have any AIO at the moment , maybe after i finish up ultimate polish only i try hunt for AIO , but i think hardly to finish the UP if i repolish every 1 or 2 year , i do try polish with mf small spot , susprisely it extreme clean at the spot only, lucky i try at lower part haha This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 19 2018, 09:58 PM |

QUOTE(douglas_tong @ Feb 20 2018, 09:42 AM) I polish at least 3 times per year, usually more. No issue one...clear coat not made of taufu. Wow , 3 time per year , that really much eh , wanna clay + wax pun i feel tired le , u stil can polish 3 time Either with an aio to clean paintwork up or with a mild polish to correct some swirls from washing. Usually 3 months once I will aio when it becomes dull QUOTE(N33d @ Feb 20 2018, 09:57 AM) bro long time no see hey bro n33d , happy cny !!! how you recently , maybe need to look for AIO already , recently i already LOOK OPEN , some swirl and scratch will appear for daily driving car , it's really hard to avoid zero swirl scratch , as long as car look shine and clean then it's good , i plan next time when doing polishing , just go by 3-4 pass , wipe and skip , don't plan like last time so OCD , check the swirl with LED light , as i already know how my car paint work with which polish cream happy cny your car looking great as usual having an AIO by your side is very useful and more efficient when come to maintaining a daily driver than let say, compound+polish combo unless having a black car and/or need the gloss that standalone polish like UP could give else, i really like the 2-step(Polish+wax) into 1 step convenience that AIO could give while still having the paint condition that 90% of the people could not tell whether I used AIO or polish+compound combo with naked eyes QUOTE(slk @ Feb 20 2018, 11:00 AM) that cleaner wax? |
