Anyone use SOFT99 Ultra Glaco, better than rain X?
*
Similar, but good one heavy rain or big droplets.
Light showers still need the wipers.
Works as advertised.

now i have a problem with it.

during morning, my screen got the mist. and due to using the soft99, the mist macam trap on some area of the windscreen.

need wait till the sun comes out only, the mist gone
*
Yar meh, did you over coat the screen?
I don't have the said symptoms wo.

It says you should let it dry for 10-15 minutes, and ensure 1 day of sunlight or dry area until coating is set.

I applied it last year October. Still beading and no mist as experienced.

Guys, i usually wax every 2 months without polishing. I am wondering if the waxing actually like polishing , which can 'grind' away the paints ?
*
Wax is a sacrificial layer and serve no cleaning agents.
There are products out there which are AIO (All in one) but even those are very very mild cleaning agents.

It would take sand blasting or sand papers to grind away paint smile.gif

So to echo V429's reply, answer is no too.

Managed to capture a video during the heavy downpour last week.

Windscreen coated with Glaco. Very impressed with the beading effect!  thumbsup.gif

Next up - might look at Soft 99 Water Block for my side mirrors... Anybody used it before?
*
Yes! Applied this last year and still have the same beading effect until now!
Actually a waste for such a big bottle that lasts so long!

Wow a year?? That's very impressive reliability!

I usually re-coat once a month or once I feel the sheeting/beading is not so tight. Haha.  tongue.gif

Yes, I am very surprised myself.

I think the important point to note is:-
3. After drying for 5-10 minutes, wipe it off with a dry, clean towel, afterward dry for more than 12 hours, in order to make the coating adhere firmly to the windshield

And also probably a ph balance car shampoo smile.gif

Hmm, dry towel ah?

I have had quite bad experiences buffing off Glaco/Meg's Glass Sealant in the dry. Tends to leave oily streaks on my windscreen.

That's why I tend to use a damp MF towel to wipe it off then finish with a dry towel instead.

Thanks for the tip too!
*
Haha, I used MF towel also with both being dry. I think the key is the 12 hour curing.
I was lucky in a sense that I applied that in the morning and had no rain till the next day (car kept in car porch).

So curing is important I guess. Did that to both my cars (wife and I).
