I never gonna trust any China made CPU again after trying Mediatek. It gaves me a very bad impression.
*
Mediatek chip I do agree is not a well made and performance chip. It is a BIG insult to even compare it with Huawei chipset !!

The thing is though... Exynos 8890 features Mali 880MP12 (I believe this refer to the number of cores) while Kirin 950 only has Mali 880MP4. Some of the gpu benches also show Kirin 950 losing to Exynos 7420 because it has Mali 760MP8 (8 last gen cores versus 4 new gen cores on Kirin 950)

Not sure why mobile phone user take their speaker seriously.
I dont know.
When do you guys use it?

When you are alone in the room?
*
I can accept speaker position even at the back ( eg on my Lumia 950xl)
I don't need high sounding speakers
Even at home my missus always asked me to tone down the phone speakers
Seriously I am not even impressed with my previous HTC One M7 dual front speakers - I find it simply too loud !!

Sunny day, time for a quick HDR
Great shots

BTW how does the phone allow one to choose installation to ext sdcard ? Is there such a prompt during install or we can choose ext sdcard as default on app install , say under any option choice in settings
In Huawei phone, for example I could choose ext sdcard as default internal memory

I am not a fan of SP but based on what I had read all SP that could cover the edges will lift up eventually or you will see unpleasant "bubbles" at edges due to poor fit

agreed. happened for both spigen and X-one ultimate (the dark/black package).
but the new version X-One Ultimate in red packaging do not have this problem. at least for me.

when used s6e last time, almost 3 months i used without any SP, observed many hairline scratches and the oleophobic coating start to deteriorate. thus, i opt to try out the X-One ultimate in red packaging which they claimed better than the black packaging.

All my phones when out of house is always in flipcases
This is sufficiently good enough to protect the phone
I like flipcase unlike some who consider them a nuisance!!

S7 Camera vs iphone 6s plus ?
I am not a big camera fan. So far i am happy with shots taken on my current phones : LG V10, Mate 8, Nexus 6p, lumia 950xl n iphone 6s plus. The shots quality do vary amongst them. I am just a simple point n shoot guy. I am happy using any of these phones. If i had to pick, my favorite wold be the LG V10. Anyway this site for those who are true camera enthusiasts.

u bought from this guy?
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3840547/

seems he just buy it from lazada then resell to you all, and according to review by buyer, fast charging not compatible as well.
*
At his price I have serious doubts of it being original
Anyway the original when in use you will not feel any obvious heat on the charger as it comes with a built in fan. Non original doesn't have any fan built in and the heat up is obvious
And a original fast wireless charging is equally as fast as the original direct charger while the non original unit just provide normal slow charging only
These are based on my experience on Note 5 comparing my original unit vs my friend RM100+ unit . I paid nearly RM 220 for mine

Gonna order Spigen from Taobao, not sure genuine or not. whistling.gif

Just check their price vs Spigen site. If is very much cheaper than probably is fake. I think is safe if price is within 10% + cheaper

I try to buy only cheap cases for my phones. My budget will be below rm100 prefarably in range of rm50-80. As I don't keep my phones too long ( most around 6+ months only) I don't see need to buy more expensive ones. This S7E will be sold when Note6 is available

Battery life on Exnyos variant is much better than SD 820. Now I'm a person who wants better battery life, I'd go over with the Exynos. and people should stop complaining about the exynos being underperform compare to SD820
*
I find it quite unbelievable the S7E exynos has such a great battery life. I would be most happy if it is so!

Real world performance isn't much of a different though. And I only do some light gaming like Clash of Clans. Rarely play heavy duty games. And I guess the GPU is just sufficient for my need.

The horrible of Samsung devices after Note 2 is just the battery life. Currently using Note 4. And eventhough I have some spare battery, it doesn't make me happy considering the BAD battery life I'm facing

Now should I preorder S7E or wait for Note 6....

*Already preorder S7E through celcom plan. damn
*
My ex Note 5 has the best battery life amongst all the Galaxy and Note series I had used . Easily 6-7 hours SOT for me - is better than my current LG V10 ( 4-5), Nexus 6P ( 5-6)
I am happy with at least 5 hours SOT on my phones

Those concerned about ISOcel and Sony sensors in camera, do look up this XDA thread. Good comparison photos . Looking at both shots, seriously both are equally good to me. Only camera geeks would nitpick on the differences

The author comments : "Essentially, the truth is there is very little between these two sensors, and both perform very well. Unless you're really pixel peeping, often times it's hard to see differences in either one's favour. They trade blows shot to shot, as you will see from the following examples. In some shots the Britecell does better, in other shots the IMX260. Other times the one that ends up better is more of a case of which part of the photo you're looking at, and therein lies some of the differences that I did notice."

It always good to have better battery life.
Yeah android is demanding but it can be solve by putting higher mah battery and increase efficiency of the system.
Always carrying powerbank and charger is annoying.
Im happy if this S7 can sustain at least more than 12 hours average usage. At least i dont need to bring charger when i go to work.

So far for me, no Android phone can match the insane battery life on my Mate 8. I could easily hit 9-10 hours SOT on mainly LTE on 80+% internet based stuffs. Though its battery capacity 4000 mAh is only about 23-33% bigger than most other Androids, its battery usage is close to double. And best of all the phone remains cool under intensive usage.

I brought this phone with me to Taipei recently and on wifi 24/7 , the battery only dip 4% over 3 days of standby. In the background, I still receive mail, newsfeed, tweeter, whatsapp notifications. I only started to use the phone on the 4th day. I was using the LG V10 as my main phone most of the time due to its superb camera ( best amongst all the Android phones I had ever used

I am looking forward to assess how the S7 Edge will fare against the LG V10 and Mate 8

Oh wow, you really are a gadget freak. What's your daily driver now?
*
Is simply my " expensive" hobby
For phablets, on hand now I have LG v10, Nexus 6P - rare 128 GB ( will sell off soon), Mate 8, Lumia 950XL and iPhone 6s Plus ( 64gb)
Main daily driver is LG V10 and Mate 8 at late evening/night time. At times I do use the Mate 8 as main phone too. Both Lumia and iPhone are rarely used , bought just to keep up with the OS developments only. Tablets wise - ipad mini 3 ( hardly used too) and Huawei P8Max - the P8Max I used as a mini tablet and much prefer it over the ipad mini 3
The S7 edge could replace either V10 or Mate 8 ?? I bought it solely because of the big discount and will definitely sell off later for Note 6
