So at the end of the day, what makes android better than iOS?
*
It is just too long to describe why I prefer Android over IOS
Simply IOS closed system n need to use iTunes most of time to manage files is a big turn off. Gone are the days when everyone talk about iphone smoothness. Any high end Android can match or even be better than it. I am not amazed at their so call superior app quality. Probably games ios has an edge but than I don't play games

Haha, I have faith that we can have a level-headed Android vs iOS discussion. My method of ensuring the longevity of an iOS device is to stop updating the OS after a certain version. My iPad 3 is still on iOS 7 and it feels perfectly fine, whereas my friend's iPad 3 on a newer OS crashes quite a bit. Even my iPhone 4 on iOS 6 still doesn't lag too badly (I use it as an mp3 on the rare occasion that I go running).

Are there Android users that refrain from updating their software? My Android-using friends still give me the impression that their phones lag after some time. A lot of my friends using S6 don't seem to have a lot of nice things to say about their phone.

For Androids avoid installing unnecessary utilities such as memory managers, auto task killers , system enhancement, some of the battery improvement app. These only cause higher battery usage and at times can be destructive. Their benefits are short term only. However many users still like such app n is their choice. I rarely faced lag on most of my Androids. The only laggy one I would say is first Galaxy n Dell Streak
Android since Jellybean had improved a lot n such app totally unnecessary
This is based on my experience n helping troubleshooting my friends phonez. I have used many Androids since the First Nexus One.
And do NOT install app from unknown apk or dubious sites - many of such app are poorly coded n will only bring about funny stability issues. Be wise n study any such apk before installing. Alas I do know many users just to save some money resort to such app. They had only themselves to blame if their phone runs into issues

The email confirmation has clearly state collection of preorder will start on 17mar till 20mar
So why bother to keep trying to contact Samsung on this?
I am sure those who had preorder will get an email if there are any changes ?

Funny this review says can install apps on the sd card but other reviews mentioned only contents can be stored on sd card while apps can be on phone only
*
A user in Spore forum Hardwarezone has reported this : " Settings -> App Manager -> select the app you want to move -> select Storage -> (if the app can be moved) Click on Change -> select SD Card

Doesn't work for quite a few apps, but at least I was able to move some big ones like Amazon Kindle. "

Looks like you can only select to move apps after install only
First app I would like to try is Whatsapp and see whether the data files ( images, videos) could be on the ext sdcard

Most users at hardwarezone.sg had good reports about the phone. However there are still few negative reports about some "funny issues"
Just pop over to know more

Not good news for those who think the SD820 units will be more open to rom developments. Quote " XDA Recognized Developer Fenny made a quick observation that signalled that all might not be right after all:

Looks like the bootloader is locked, both qualcomm secure boot, and secure download enabled.

Eh, that doesn’t seem too bad though. OEM Unlock is still present in the Developer settings, so maybe that needs toggling before one proceeds. Fenny answered that he did do so, but remained wishful of other methods through which root could be obtained."

Malaysia model going to get SD820 or Exynos? I'm seeing Exynos is for Europe and Asia market. US to be SD820. But having other news, it's at random even in US.
*
Singapore is Exynos . So probably it will be too for M'sian market ? We will know definitely on 17 March when pre-order owners get their units

Pick up this posting about different type of Spigen cases at hardwarezone.sg - I quote :

Thin Fit series is the thinnest case out there that provide minimal protection*, usually with exposed sides or buttons. This is good for people whom do not want bulky case, and it is made of hard plastic with matte rubbery surface.

Liquid Crystal case is 2nd in line for thinnest case but not hard plastic, it is made of soft TPU rubber. Which is flexible and bendable. It covers all the area of the phone, but it is of bare minimum or close to 0 protection when it drops. Cause it is so soft, usually the impact from a drop usually will still leave a dent on the phone.

Rugged armor is the 3rd in line for thickness. Unlike like Liquid Crystal, it is matte black and made of much thicker TPU rubber. And has their air cushion at the 4 corners of the case. This offers, good protection all round, yet not that thick and bulky.

Ultra Hybrid is a different approach than the above classic 3 case. Ultra Hybrid balance the need of aesthetics yet maintain good protection without sacrificing by adding more bulk. Ultra hybrid has a transparent hard plastic back and the sides are all thick TPU rubber. It has air cushion at all corners to absorb the impact.

Neo Hybrid is the same as Ultra Hybrid, but instead of TPU rubber for the sides, it uses metal instead. This is to give the "more premium" feel of the metal sides. Also it is made of 2 different pieces, metal rims, and full TPU rubber back cover and sides. But many including my friends have complained about it, as it felt slippery from hand, and not really good to use.

Neo Hybrid Crystal no difference from Neo Hybrid, but instead of plastic and metal in 2 different piece like Neo Hybrid has to offer, Neo Hybrid Crystal offers plastic back, and TPU rubber sides.

Next in line is the complete armor series with no compromise in protection. But however it is very bulky imho. Starting from the slimmest armor series.

Sim Armor is the thinnest 2 piece protection, the body 1st layer is covered with TPU rubber, while the add on piece is a hard plastic cover for the back.

The second thickest will be Slim armor CS, this is thicker because instead of a kickstand like how the Slim Armor has, the Slim armor CS is for Card slots.

And last of all the mother of all armor case, the Tough Armor. This case is not much thicker than the Slim Armor, its only the side rims are thicker than the rest. But this comes in a whole single piece rather than 2 pieces. But some claimed that it is so tough that some said, they drop their phone countless of time, and this case never failed them.

is the screen really so fragile that we need a screen protector? currently i am using mi4 naked for more than a year

in and out of pocket together with my car keys, no problem at all
*
That depend on user
Personally i just hate to use any SP . Only exception is Xperia series due to scratchable anti shatter film
I had been using phones/tablets past 8 years n all my gadgets not even a hairline scratch. When i am out i put my phones in a flipcase
Only harder materials than glass such as sand , diamond could scratch it
Getting any SP has never even being consider by me

Someone selling pre order unit at RM2850. Reasonable?
*
Yes n at least better than most at higher prices
I will be collecting my unit later this afternoon
Unlike KL I seriously doubt the high demand at my place. Even iphone there was not even a queue at all...I got my previous iphones by just walking in
