Agreed... I have pushed my RAMs to tighter timings. But somehow... can't feel any difference. All I get is just the satisfaction of benchmarked results... haha.. kinda like syiok sendiri. No actual feel of the performance 
it depends on wat u do... not all OC get higher benchies... the reason i don get my CPU to 3GHz cuz it's more jumpy at 3GHz than my current 2.5GHz... i've tried tightenning my timings but will be unstable... If u do light OC it memang won show any diff... if u do better OC than diff story... example: wif my rig i can play Fear wif majority medium and some high wif no AA... after OC can put 2x AA... therefore in this case i achieved better speed & quality... so it really depend on wat u do...
